another question just the same.... my buddy seen this in the gazette and wonders where it comes from and is it a gamedog line.... hes slowing down and thinking now before jumping in trying to buy any dog....good for him!!
so if you have any info i will tell him about it thanks yall have been a wealth of information.......

I wish I knew more about the history of many of these bloodlines and maybe I will if good post with good links like this keep coming around. Zebo surely was one hell of a dog.

that depends on what you believe to be the true origin of zebo i know the ped but some from back in that time tend to believe different

 

The line has been used more than you probably know and is still being used by several. The people that use it tend to keep it close.

 

I know I wouldn't get in Zebo's eyesight.

 

i was asked to bring it here so my friend can make informative decision
he is in the mood to aquire a dog ,, and seen the name in the gazette
ive told him with his dogs already having some colby .. his best bet is
some double back colby blood..he also has the inline turtlebuster i have
teaching him too what i have learned about some not so reputable byb
making bigger heads on dogs by filtering in amstaff or something else
to make pitbull that is more what public wants due to music videos and
movies..but they are glorified mutts at the price of 3500 and up
so the more he comes up with the more i bring in till he has added
the right dog to the family of dogs he already has.. he is NOT interested
in breeding but just owning the best he can find... will take me some
time to decide which kennel to tell him to go to for his last pup till he
moves to bigger grounds upon retirement.... ty

If he is not interested in breeding, why would you tell him the best bet would be to go further into the Colby dogs? If he is not breeding, then would it matter what bloodline, or if he got one from all he desires? It seems to me he must not be all that excited with the Colby dog he has, or he would be sold out on them. So, are you sure your not schooling him in breeding? I mean, I dont care, just an odd statement in the middle of what you are saying.

Myself, I used to love Colby dogs, seems like the Colby bred ones I have seen of late aren't the same as they used to be. J.P. had a very good eye for breeding, and knew how to test them to make the culls. If the Colby dogs of today are from the same blood,(which I believe they are) then the only other factor is that they are not being culled as hard as they were back in the day.

That being said, you can take two men(or women), with the same exact dogs(if that were possible) , one being more experienced than the other, and at the end of 5-10 years, you will have totally different dogs.

 

he is thrilled with the dogs he has... and i said no breeding incase someone would think he was....he collects stuff that is rare and beautiful..cars, fish, ww11 stuff what ever strikes his fancy...and im not gonna tell someone with the money to keep his dogs in splender not to buy but will enlighten him on the history of the ones hed like to have ,, so it fits his liking.. if im set to a task i do it because they are my friends .. im not going to ask why .. if i want to do it i take it on and go thru with it... period...im a good friend ... and will do the research and collect the info for the person wanting it... dont care if its bobbleheads or mds toys ..if i choose to do it i will get down to the nitty gritty and give whomever the info so THEY can make an informed decision

 

so, Zebo was devistating but his brother was a better producer and coincidently stopped the father of the all time best producer, Ch Jeep. give Bo his credit, he did 1:52 with Vindicator. any dog that can do that gets fed by me regardless. what better performance animal then to cross them both? i give my buddy everything yall provided for me and also
i will take note for when im ready for a new baby
i have no idea what bloodline i would like ,, just keep it
gamedog no doubt...maybe a few shows down the line
i will decide... i would like the same personality as the
ones i have ...very cooperative.. small tight and no lie

From what I understand It still makes a quality cross. Zebo/Vidicater blood can add mouth. I dont know about NOBODY using it. There are some Kennels using this blood and producing champs.
