Zebo dogs

Discussion in 'APBT Bloodlines' started by Highbloodbulldog, Jul 24, 2007.

  1. This is Doida (Zebo's Shade Smoke), basically she's heavy Zebo blood with some Bullyson by Midnight Cowboy... she's resulted by inbreeding.

No, Duke isn't deaf. I lucked out in more ways than one when I got him. He was my first true APBT and when I got him, I knew nothing about genetics or gameness for that matter. He turned out just fine, but he does have MANY allergies. He can't eat certain foods or he throws up, he can't use scented or dyed shampoos, and nylon collars and harnesses break him out like crazy.

I've always wondered if it was due to being white, or heavy inbreeding.

well a lot of folks from my generation and before belived that a lot.myself i looked at individual dogs before i selected a pup once i really got serious into these dogs.only once did i take a dog based on word of mouth and that was from my mentor so i had no reason to doubt him.i always say a good dog is just there no pedigree or slective tactics or color is going to make it any diffrent.about the only thing you can do i look at individual dogs and pedigrees and see what the prospect has behind it and go from there.but black dogs do seem to be a little tougher for some reason always have can't explain why because i really don't know but it is just something i seen over the years.

  7. I do agree with you, this many people today can't understand. Pedigrees or talking and talking don't [] win by itself.
This pratic based advice you gave me, about the black dogs, only the experience can show... no internet can helps in a case like this. I know you dont know why black dogs are a little tougher, but they are... and this is the kind of answer I wanted.

Thank you very much, Old Timer.
