Becuase if my dog is bigger why be out of standard?
Plus this breeding will even out his front end to the back.
He is top heavy- extremelt muscular front- even in pull a more even dog should produce a better pull.
He's not out of standard just got a muscular front.

Not to make you mad but his grandfather and him seem pretty out of proportion. Now I will shut up because I like you brothermaree and I don't want to upset you, but I also don't believe in breeding anything that isn't proven.

you better belive it- although- so it doesn't pop up like- "He's lying" We will sell some.
BUT hope to get some in pull homes and at least on in show-sending 1 for sure on a co-own and keeping one to ACE.
    Dee is doing great.
Thanks Rock if it wasn't fore you I would be a byb- I wouldn't even know my males lines if you hadn't showed me.
    Remember what you told me?
Don't matter what he is just do what you do (or something like that).
It was a while ago on the Mug. board.
I'm glad Dee turned out like he did- not short and wide but tall and thick.
I think he will do good in pull.
Oh- and I'm not going to piigy back off Sorrel's just wanted a proper smaller female to take him to to keep the agility VP has.
Like I said b4- wouldn't recomend breeding this line big to big- loose all working ability.

Front end heavy right- it's cool- I try not to get wrapped up in that.
Some ppl just don't like certain dogs.
I happen not to like Black and tans- but If one were to pop up I wouldn't cull it for that- ya know?
I got bad pics on my site- he's not shor and wide although he looks it.

I could be wrong but won't breeding to the Sorrells blood just make your results more inconsistent? If VP is a Diamond Jim based line & you want to bring down the size yet keep the VP agility why not breed him to a small VP female or a small Luniewski dog? That would bring down the size & keep your breeding a little tighter, thus making your results more predictable. I don't see how scatterbreeding will do you any good.

It's not so much the blood it's moree this particular female- I don't want to down size just keep the ability.

Oh and I do plan on having heavy VP
This line because bred off of VP's Egor comes off Blue Brin ALOT- and they ar not plentiful either.
So to find on not Blue is hard and breeding blue to blue is not what I'l looking to do- to many health/skin problems.
I m looking to get a VP female she is small- alot of VP females are, just check my gallery- look at Dee's daughter.
she's small gonna be like 30-40 lbs.

  9. rocksteady

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

i was wondering though..where is the norrod in that male? I dont see it ...
But yes, papers dont make the dog.. but that refers to a dog that is proven in some way .. but if the dog isnt proven in what u want, then how can you say it will result in good pups??? Now deee has offspring.. are those offspring weightpulling? whats the percentage from his litters that have pulled and been succesfull (winning competitions..not justpulling weight..but actually winning) plenty of unknown dogs that were proven didnt produce, plenty of known dogs with known peds didnt produce well either.

Brothermarree.. the feedback that you've received, from knowledgeable doggers, have basically been criticism of your lack of knowledge with this breed. It would ALMOST be understandable (your reasons for wanting to make this breeding) if your quest to produce weight pullers was your plan from the very start, providing that you had the knowledge and space to do so. IMO you've acquired Dee because he was a good looking "pit" which then qualifies you to breed and make a website to advertise your kennel like so many other people do. I'm not going to call you a BYB because like you, people don’t understand what they are really doing, but with your desire to create this "Trinity bloodline" that's exactly what you would become. I only say this because you yourself have stated
    .
In a nut shell, why not take a more logical approach to the weight pulling game. Your method of breeding for weight pullers will only lower your chances of producing sound, stable, correct athletes that can really compete. IMO you should purchase a female with credentials of being a weight puller (through her sire or dam) and start from there. That's If you REALLY want to breed a yard of weight pullers.

Good point blacksheep. There are plenty of small weight pull dogs out there. The Wilhe Makeit & Kanshee Makeit lines are the most popular & would probably yield better results, esp. since not only is it a proven line but it carries some of the same foundation blood Dee does. However I won't say his breeding methods will lower his chances as we don't know the calibre of female he bred to. Cha Cha might be a phenominal dog for all we know.

You stated you are trying to improve what he is lacking in structure so how is he bringing it to the table?
