Anybody have this blood behind their dogs?

 

i know that's a very solid family . it crosses good with a lot of lines .

 

In most Carver dogs via Bolio, Butcher boy ,Boomerang etc...

 

A whole lot of Families of dogs have those dogs behind them in some shape or form. What exactly are you looking for?

What's the problem?

 

Yeah those two dogs can be found in a lot of pedigrees, but those dogs were only bred together once as far as I can figure out (don't claim to be an expert), and they produced this dog which is in some blood that is still strong: ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [1974] :: TEJADA BROONKS

I wouldn't trust that the breeding actually took place unless it was verified. There are lots of peds on peds online that never took place and I would guess that this is one of them. She was a much older dog than Zeke as she was his great grandmother. My opinion is that it is a fake pedigree.......for more than one reason.

 

what would be the reason to fake the pedigree if you don't see a lot of these dogs peddled ?

 

There is also a dog shown off of her bred to Crenshaw's Ch.Rascal on peds online. That definitely didn't happen. It also shows her being bred to 10 different stud dogs and that seems to me to be a little crazy. She got wore the F*@k out if it is true and that is a whole lot of time spent raising and whelping pups. Most pictures of her are of a fine looking specimen of a dog. Were they all taken of her as a young dog before all that whelping?
Like I said, it is only my opinion and I would suggest it be verified if that is even possible. I don't trust the source (peds-online) and I think the time frame is a little off with her being his great grandmother. Could be a bonafide, true blue breeding..........

 

that dog is in a few pedigrees but not here . haha like you i don;t believe all those ped's because you can see the owner didn't post them . i see ped's of my dogs with dogs that never was even close to her . i know 1 thing , most of the good stuff went south .

 

Well Old Goat, if I would have had the Black Widow and could have bred her to Zeke, I would have. Damn fine foundation stock if there ever was any........

 

to bad we can't look forward at the dogs from this line . i know of some nice ones . Zeke x Black Widow and Zeke x Goldie .

Old Goat is spot on evry post on this thread, they have no reason to fake what maurice might have sold or told them...
Any real old timer that really knew the silver fox and got dogs from him considered them just to just be carver dogs no matter what thepedigree said...Alot of speculation on this dog wasnt off this dog because color size or etc seem to hold some truth but from our own studies when you breed amongst such a vast amount of linage alot of changes are possible as they seem to not be so uniform as the families that are tighter bred... A friend bred a dog to his almost eleven year old grand grand mother and mr.mims had a big healthy litter off a thirteen year old so its possible for the zeke black wida breeding evan though it wasnt popular in the states... ed crenshaw ststes carver sold red girl full of stu fowler pups south of the border of which five winners come from including a five time winner, yet another fine litter that know one north of the border had there hands on...

 

Well, the Stu Fowler and Red Lady (I assume you were meaning her and not her mother) breeding was very well documented with pictures of the mating and of the pups...................just saying...lol.. It isn't a question to me of a pedigree being faked by the fine sportsmen down below. And I am not saying that I know anything for certain....just speculating.

It is more of a question of it being really true.....kinda like Honeybunch or Boomerang.....see what I'm gettin' at? Don't look into any more than that, it is ancient history as far as importance today. Dibo was breeding dogs in the 50's.......Bolio was born in 1969 off of Zeke. Sure some bitches produce into old age like the ones you mentioned, but most peoples dogs are fading and dying around that age too....especially if they have had a hard life and are used up so to speak.

I've buried a lot of dogs that have lived a full and good life and the average lifespan isn't much older than 12/13 on the best of lines and much shorter on others. To let you know that I can understand old dogs still producing, I have a twelve year old male that just sired a litter that was born under two weeks ago and he is still in really great shape for his age. All natural without any supplements.

So I get that some older females have litters past the double digits, but I have personally never seen anyone have success doing it, mainly because they just don't breed them when they reach that age.

 

well look i know most people don't breed old dogs but i know of a few and the male can be 16 because i seen it . i also seen a 13 year old bitch have a litter of 9 so it can happen .

 

I know some dogs live to be even older than that, but if a male produced at age 16 he was a super dog and good for him...lol...and I never said it couldn't happen just that it doesn't happen hardly at all....for good reason. Most dogs simply are not healthy enough or fertile enough to do it let alone live that long.

Im glad to he the old man still has it and is still siring pups, heard nothing but good things about those dogs...
Speaking of Zeke, I hope you and your buddy decide to breed him to that jungle pup, as it would make for a great cross...

The value in my post would have been more along the lines of what made the silver fox such a successful breeder and bulldog brooker,
Its that he had an eye for good lines and sought them out, never was kennel blind and utilized a vast amount of bloodlines...
That combination and a silver tounge made Maurices gift a sought out success to those who wanted to win...

If you believe the ped, your really paying for a storey...
But if you believe in that breeders bulldogs, your buying a good prospect...

not a super dog just sperm up and omega 3-6 and doctor wacky . he couldn't mount the bitch but the good old doctor and a kind hand helps out haha .
