I never did recieve any messages back from them when ever I emailed them.

 

i emailed them and said they're just making themselves look like morons.They look like nice dogs to me.

I sent these idiots a couple emails the other day, here is their reply:

Dear William,

Thank you for sending us your opinion. We understand how you could hold the misguided belief that all dog breeds are loving and caring animals, as all of us at ABPB once believed this lie as well. We hope that your visit to our site will help show you the truth about pit bulls, but we know we can't reach every person.

Thankfully, your opinion is in the minority of visitors to our site. 95% of emails we receive are in support of our cause. If we felt that our organization did not have support, we would take our website down immediately. However, this is not the case. Most Americans support our cause demonstrated by the recent anti-pit bull legislation that has been enacted in many states. These are the direct results of our efforts.

Once again, thank you for opinion. We hope our site helped you gain some perspective on this issue.

Well, SouthernDixie did get my permission to crosspost, and in the process turned me on to this site. So I thank her for that. I replied to that email with this:

Dear Anna,

I really hate to break it to you, but you are the misguided one. Any animal behaviorist would tell you so. All canines are dogs first, breed second. Because of the fighting histroy of this breed, which by the way was not the only thing they were bred for, does not mean they are mindless, vicious monsters. And just because you feel most Americans agree with your way of thinking, which I would dispute, does not mean you are right. Most Germans supported Hitler during WWII. It is not the dogs that are the problem Anna, it is the irresponsible owners that get hold of them. Any rational thinking person knows this. I know many people with other breeds of dog, like German Shepherds for instance, that I could not even approach. I have never met an American Pit Bull Terrier that didn't love human contact, even from complete strangers. Due to their past history of pit fighting, they were specifically bred for loyalty and lack of human aggression. This is because in the pit were three humans as well as the dogs; a referee and two trainers. Normally a wounded animal is considered very dangerous, however, in the pit these dogs would never so much as look at a person the wrong way, let alone attack! Any dog that did was culled immediately on the spot! Another result of their breeding is intelligence. A dumb dog cannot fight. A dumb dog cannot hunt boar, or tend livestock. I have two puppies in obedience classes, and they are light years ahead of the other dogs in there due to their intelligence. So let me ask you Anna, you say you and your organization once believed all breeds were loving and caring, including Pit Bulls, what made you change your mind? What contact have you ever had with a real APBT? Have you ever owned one? Do you know anyone who has ever owned an American Pit Bull Terrier? It is my guess that you have never had any experience with these dogs and you are just believing the lies perpetrated about them in the media. If you really looked at the pictures I sent you, went to the sites I sent you links to, and read the statistics I sent you, I believe you would be in the process of doing further research and perhaps changing your mind. But instead you are sticking to your guns and sending me an email telling me how misguided I am. To me that just proves you are as narrow minded as everyone else who believes as you do. Trust me, I've encountered a lot of your kind throughout the years. Being a Pit Bull owner, you expect it and get used to it. You are no different than the pre-civil rights segregationists. So, while we consider all humans to be equal, I guess all dogs are still not. Me and my kind will fight the good fight and see an end to people like you who would try and force your opinion down everyone else's throats through lesilation and intimidation. Mark my words......

At first, I was thinking WTF?! But if it's a joke, it's a dumb one. What a bunch of idiots. I think if it was real, they'd show attack victims.
