Dog scared of beer

I don't give my dog beer all the time, but every once in a while i will spill a little "by accident" and i've come to find that my dog is picky when it comes to beer. He won't drink strong german beer but he likes miller light, either way he still makes a funny @$$ face when he drinks it.

Giving alcohol or drugs to a dog is like giving it to small child.
But I know people that let their dog smell weed and even eat the stems and some that let their dogs taste beer. I dont. Anyway, most of these people treat their dogs much better than other people that I know. Maybe because whatever they do they let their dogs do, always together. Trust me, I dont think its good to give your dogs any drugs, but havent we all been young and sometimes stupid?

 

we have all been young and stupid,hell thats how i ended up getting emphizemia but i never in my life used a illegal narcotic.and i never condone or accept the use of illegal narcotics.i dont think it is right for any human being to use them let alone give it to your dog,there are much better ways you can spend your time other than getting you and your dog doped out of it's gord.

 

Cant really see a problem with a little beer spilage every now and again,as long as its not to often,but weed? anyone who does that really is a DOPE!

 

This may sound strange, but both my older girls were always very interested in beer when they were younger. I couldn't set one down within their reach or it'd be gone. They haven't had any interest in it for years now though. However, my new pups reminded me of those days of being concerned as to where I leave my beer cuz they seem to want to get at it! I just hope they outgrow that like my older girls did....

 

well beer isnt good for your dog but i aint really pissed off at that,because i know of some dogs who did like to enjoy a cold one.but i do have a serious problem with the narcotics.

Its funny how some people dislike others who judge a APBT without actually understanding the breed can actually judge anything that may not be considered the norm without understanding or ever using it. Remember the government makes laws that not every single person in this country agrees with. Not all of us just bow our heads like pussies and do exactly what they tell us to. A lot of dogs like the smell of anything be it pot or beer or alcohol. Nothing bad is ever going to happen if your smoking a joint and your dog likes to smell it. Same goes with beer. Unless you need your dog to be perfect example of you theres nothing wrong with letting him have a lick or two of beer. They like it and unless your giving him a can at a time I think hell be fine. Same goes for pot unless your forcing it into his lungs like so many do I think its ok for him to sit on the same couch as you when your smoking a joint. Remember dogs are wild and if they ran into a pot plant or hopps plant theyd eat it no questions asked. If it smells good theyll eat it. Quit living in LA LA LAND and wake up and smell what your shoveling

 

I really don't see how the owner smoking weed is a huge deal. Maybe it's because of my age, or maybe because I live in Canada where it is not a criminal offense to smoke weed. I don't smoke weed, but that doesn't mean I pass judgement on those who do. I actually hate beer, never drink it, does that mean I should pass judgement on those who do? It's one thing if he's blowing smoke in the dog's face or something, that would be irresponsible. However, he's not saying he does that, HE smokes weed, not his dog. Geez. Also, I find it really strange for you (purplepig) to tell this person to read his bible. How do you know what his personal beliefs are? You shouldn't try to push a certain religion on someone, especially without knowing the individual and what his/her faith is. This is a dog forum, not a politics and religion forum...



Anyway, since I never have beer in my place, I don't know how Boss would react to it...but I know he hates cigarettes! I drink coffee and tea a lot, and I can't set that stuff down anywhere because he's all over it like white on rice lol.

I have to agree with you both....I have No problem with separating the wheat from the shaft.

Im a robate, however yes I can and will judge those that do partake in alicit drug activity....Doesnt mean I dont like ya,but I dont want you around me or mine. Esp, if your fucked off!
