Now, I know I haven't contributed as much to this site as many others but I am an advid game-dog member. This is the place that sets my mind away to read and learn about one of my loves, as I would think the same goes for many here. Except those few who feel the need to debate, compare and defend certain dogs. Like the "bluffs". That would be the dogs mixed with Mastiff, English Bulldogs, Dog Bordeaux and whatever else people try and mix APBTs' with to get big, sloppy dogs. Myself and a few others have asked each other why are threads about the above mentioned dogs allowed to be discussed. Shouldn't those threads be closed upon opening. If you need someone to report them then I can be assigned to that position and there are more that wouldn't mind either.

BTW: feel free to leave bad or good rep points or even pm me if you'd like or im me, if u wanna call me then I can give u my number in the pms and if you're in Texas and wanna visit then pm me and we can exchange info.

I don't think they should be discussed here b/c it gets under most people skin here. I'm sure they have a board that those bloodlines could be discussed on without 10 pages of people argueing.

By the way I forgot to mention that I would bet many of the members here have
bluffs or are into them and just don't put it out there. They are in the closet:confused:. It's still a topic that turns into heat and ends up being closed or has alot of bashing and cussing in it and for what? It's all useless. The whole topic is useless because those dogs aren't going anywhere but that shouldn't mean we have to accept them.

  5. ya know i think it sounds like a fine idea to just do without the bluffs on here, since most all of us own only game dogs.

I don't own a bluff, but I do own a blue dog which I rescued (he was found on a rooftop in N.O.) & NEUTERED ASAP! He makes a great pet & I have the space for him.

There are several gamedog/gamebred dog owners who own a pet here & there. That's not the issue IMO.

  7. being that this is "game-dog.com" i have no problem with that idea. personally, i dont understand what's wrong with a little debate and discussion. some gamers might be interested in others ideas or tastes or whatever, but may not want to go join another board. i've seen threads about chinchillas, fish, and other non-game-dog related topics that didn't get shut down for being non-conformist, so maybe the bluff threads dont need to be either. but with some of the CRAP that comes from them, i can also understand shutting those ones down. but i darn sure came here to hear, talk, and learn about game-dogs...so it sounds logical to me....however, im not incharge of the board.

I'm not saying for those who own another breed or those who own pet bulls. I'm saying for those that come here trying to have game dog lovers accept bluffs as an APBT or any other breed they try to pass it off as. From the moment someone makes a post or starts a thread we all know whether or not that person is trying to get his/her dog accepted or even compare their dog to an APBT, AmStaff or AB.

Things that I dont like or want to be involved in I just leave alone,so if I see a topic Im not interested in or a particular line being discussed I dont like I dont get involved with it because it is of no interest to me. I certainly wouldnt disrespect a man or woman I dont know over a dog or it`s color, like I said I just stay out of it and let the folkes that are interested in it discuss it.

In reality the majority of those threads end up with negative remarks and as long as I've been visiting this site and reading those threads as they come up and some from the past, they have ended being closed by the mods or had no positive conclusion. Yeah you're right the option to read it or not is always gonna be there if they're posted but why not eliminate both when limited positivity comes from the topic.

In that aspect I would agree with you but when you are lead to believe that a thread may actually be worth reading because it has a diguised title and then you find out it's another garbage topic, you probably say to yourself "here they go again" or something to that sort. Me myself on a regular basis am surrounded with those bluff fanatics and feel like I personally know why they have the dog/s they chose so I come here to get away from that enviroment. I mean we all know why they have them but this is game-dog.com.

  12. well i honestly the more i thought about it could go with either.on the one hand i am very tired of the whole bluff thing where they try to convince you that you own a dieing breed and such, then on the other hand i dont mind teaching things to the confused newbs,i usually make it a medium lenth post stating the truth and what i think they would understand unless more is needed.but i think that the guys(Marty and Shon) are kind of like this is a site dedicated to the gamedog/petbull and pretty much anything that could be called a bulldog,so i think it really comes down to this is a haven for folks that own all types of ''pitbulls'' to come and have some conversation, but what i think might be in better order is when it comes to bluffs and such that there should be some rules established and they should be made aware that this site is owned and operated by gamedog people and it really does cater to the gamedog owners first and foremost.because the truths the truth it does get pretty tireing when you always get some bluff owners and breeders taking that hostile attitude with you when you refuse to back down and say ok i lose you win,i own the dieing breed and you own the wave of the future i think thats what gets to people more than anything.

that's why I mouse over. If it doesn't interest me, I skip it.
But, being that it's required of me, as a mod, to read most, if not all the threads, I try to take it all in stride, and patiently post a reply.
    note, I said, "try".....[IMG] ....

I have a pet shot gun. does that count? I raise APBT. I also cull and am not messed up about it. I do have a pet dog. Her name is Bue Bue and she is a pure blood Shar-Pei. I have another Shar-pei that is male and his job is to bite what the other dogs are barking at. just that simple If I am expecting company I put him up. If not then his bite will likely be followed by my first pet betty the shot gun. She is a good ole girl and willingly sprays buck shot in a general direction. Bluff dogs, dogs extremely out of standards, bully mutts, Muttly mutts. I have one use for them. It is called firtilizer and they make good for my garden along with cats and organic scraps left over from supper. I am proud of all my dogs but I don't start and finish threads off with my Coon hound, Shar-pei, or the South Texas Cur. No I am a true lover of my APBT. I have yet to see a bluff mutt out on a bear hunt but I would love to see it. Even on cougar, wolverine, badger, bobcat, linx, panther, boar hog and so on. I would just about pay money to see that shit. However it may be on the edge of un ethical to send them in on such game even if it would be funny the breeder of such should be the one tossed into the hunt and not the dog as the dog isn't at fault it is some dip shit retard pumping out pups for money to other retards that think those dogs are the shiznit. I got a Bard Rock Rooster that would cur out most of those botox dogs. There are some naturally occuring blue's in the blood but for the most part it isn't accomanied by a standard dog but with a bow legged squat ass dog with a fat head and his belly dragging the dirt. That isn't natural, pure or anything I would put the name American, Pit or terrier. The bull part ya. There is lots of bull associated with them. And it starts with the papers. And there is very few things in this world that annoy me more than going to a show and waiting on a bunch of Bull mastiff, American Bull dog, English bull dog mix mutts to pull all throught the damn night. That down right pisses me off and I would like to shoot every one of the owners and take the dogs out to pature where they belong. We have a standard; live by it, breed by it or go on to another breed of dog. If you want a 100+ pound dog get a damn bull Mastiff. That is what they were bred to be. And for that mini and toy idea they have frenchies and boston terriers already go buy one and be happy. Go get on the Bull Mastiff site and Frenchie site and be true to the breed and get out of the damn closet. Well stay in it last time people came out of the closet I wore myself out with the base ball bat. I am old and tired stay in the closet but just get the dog that fits the standard you want.

End of rant for the moment. Thanks Mr Biggs again for being there for me. Your a good man. Keep it up.

At least not many of you have to see them in person just about everyday. I'm talkin about people walking there big "pitbull" with a heavy chain or thick rope and a spiked collar and padlocks. Some just walk them with a thick long chain or rope and loop it around the neck of the dog like a choke chain/rope. I remember when I was outside attempting to educate my neighbor with the info I know about the APBT standard a kid rode his bike right up to us and told him that he has a dog bigger than his. My neighbors dog is a 95lbs blue brindle, need I say more. When a couple was walking by, my neighbor said watch this, then he made the oversized dog bark to scare the people. I just turned my head and a moment later I left knowing why he got his dog. I haven't talked to him in a awhile but I would LOVE to let him know that a petition to have his and others dogs papers pulled is being passed around and I'm doing all that I can to help pass it around.

Oh I can't wait either. I'm gonna break the news to him with a huge smile on my face. I'm even going to print it so he can read it for himself so hopefully he'll pass it around to some people he knows in California because he was one of the guys bragging how he had the biggest and baddest "pitbull" in our area. He sure had the biggest dog I've seen around here but the baddest was a fargone statement.

    U guys R 2 funny......

I don't mind lookin or hearing about Staffs...my best little girl is a staff, however I don't think APBT lovers own a dying breed...that is where I part ways with the Bluff theories....history has shown over an over, it is the FADS that are short lived in the grand scheme of things, the APBT is part of our history, part of our present and will be part of our future.......

I for one love Pit Bulls, however the APBT is my favorite Pit Bull breed, I am thankful everyday for the dogmen and dogwomen...and that is why I know this breed will live on..........by the way I don't mind Curs at all, with a little snip, snip I will love one and feed one and make it a happy dog for all its days.....
