i'm tired of all the anti pit-bull propaganda in ontario

Discussion in 'Laws & Legislation' started by metaphor_man, Oct 17, 2004.

  1. the newspapers in toronto have been having a great few months smearing the image of pit bulls. they don't want to mention however, that the dogs were meant to be bred to be friendly with people so that they could be handled when they fight. any dog that isn't friendly with people could not be used for fighting.
besides. . . male circumcision is the only legal blood-sport; i wonder

  2. And who's fault would that be? Human natures of course! It is only natural for other individuals to thrive on somebody elses mishaps. The media wouldnt be able to make so much money off the public if the hunger for violence and brutality wasn't as great as it is. Money makes the world go round and what better source then bad publicity? Ratings and sales shoot up as the headlines and mainstories are more violent and crucial. Who doesnt enjoy a good horror story on channel 5 news. Who cares if SKIPPY the next door neighbors PITBULL just rescued 2 small children from drowning in the pond across the street, the puplic is more interested in little Abby's 198 stitches she had to get at the local ER from a vicious PITBULL attack. Again it is the owners responsibility to make sure the next little Abby don't wind up on the front page of your local newspaper. How do we achieve that? Well for starters EDUCATING as in everything else. KNOWLEDGE is POWER!
I know this is a touchy subject and we could discuss it to the bitter end but the fact remains there are PITBULL attacks and fatal accidents. Sad to say I have no solution to the problem but to keep up the petitions and to try educating the general public as we have been doing. To all the frustrated dog owners out there keep up the good work and remember WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER not against each other (which makes this community so great!)
