Discouraged

So here is the deal. I have this litter of pups right now, beautiful little babies. My goal was to sale all of them so that I could get this OFRN pup. I have been wanting an OFRN for a very long time. When I announced the potential breeding, I had some local folks just go nuts wanting a pup. My pups turned 6 weeks old last week. So, I sent my deposit on the OFRN dog. And now everyone seems not to have any money for my pups. I ran an ad in the paper, but did not have a very good response. I tried so hard all weekend to sale my puppies so that I can get my dream dog. But, I am not having much luck. I am so depressed today. I feel like I am working so hard and it is not paying off. I am so discouraged. I feel like everything I try to do fails.And all I want to do is have a couple of good dogs and go around to shows with them and have a good time. I am single living by myself....pay all my bills on my own....and I'm just sad that I am so poor that I can't just send the money now and get the pup I really want. I just feel like my dreams are being crushed and it makes me sad.

how much is the pup you want?

maybe offer a payment plan for people for your pups... and then talk to the breeder also for payment plans.

 

So your breeding unproven dogs just to buy another dog. You sound like a puppy peddler to me. How old where the dogs that you bred. What will you do with the pups if you can't find a good home for them? I don't understand people like you. Act like you love the breed so much then turn around and make it worse by breeding subpar animals. You should only breed to better the breed. Something that you are not doing.

 

I feel sorry for those puppies.

 

then you know what you should do. as a breeder you should have already known you would have to do this.

Your not going to have your offspring snatched up and peddled off to anyone who buys the paper, only so the caretaker can get something "better".

You've done wrong by your bitch and your pups. I guess had they been lucky enough to be rednosed maybe you'd have been more decent.

 

I agree with all the previous comments. This makes me sick and I feel very bad for the puppies. I would take all the puppies! I hope you are able to find GOOD homes for these innocent puppies. Just remember it is your responsibility to take care of them please do the right thing starting now since you can not change the past.

Aren't your dogs registered with the CKC? Why would you be breeding dogs who aren't even legitimately registered? You put yourself into this "mess", you made a concious decision to breed these dogs. How dare you come on here and vent about being too poor to buy a pup! If you are so damn poor, why are you breeding your damn dogs? What the hell has happened to this world????:mad: Quit trying to make a living with your dogs, and get a job that can support you. Have all of your dogs fixed, including the pups, and find them good homes. When you have done all this, get a gold fish!!!

 

well , its a fine pickle you got there.... im not a negetive person so i wont take the time to bash you for your breeding when you didnt have the right thing in your mind at the time..what is done is done.. ............ let go of the down payment you put on that other pup.. and let that go ... it wont do you any good ,, next do right by the pups you have produced.. they didnt ask to be bred and you owe them , , when you are better set in life and arent using a dog to better your monitary standing ,, perhaps you can have the pup of your dreams, its a matter of growing up....no matter the age... mature individuals dont take the time to make their money on the backs of anyone or any living thing.. get honest and get straight.. take the loss as a lesson learned ...thank those people for considering you as a potential buyer and let it all go,, till your in a better space money wise and mentally prepared......good luck .. and hope you understand why its wrong....

 

uhh ya i have to agree here... if you poor then how will you care for a new pup? i mean having a pup is like having a kid they are excpesive, i hope these pups dont end up in a bad place.....

anyhow just be happy with what you have right now and leave it at that.

I have NO pity for the byb & peddler who is breeding pets & peddling the pups to anyone (& btw, 6 weeks is way to young to get rid of puppies) to try and buy something "better".

I'm not sure what kind of support you thought you'd find here, but it's sad to say you will not get any from me. As a member of this board, you KNEW better than to do what you've done. And now you see why so many dogs are dumped at the shelter or sold for a measly $50 out of a box in the back of a pickup truck in the Walmart parking lot. I feel so sorry for those puppies & for your bitch as she is treated as nothing more than a money making venture--pet or not.

 

After all the posts that have been here regarding breeding and what not to do, you did it. And then you were silly enough to think that you would get sympathy here. Ridiculous.

when I first read this, I just couldn't believe what I was reading. I thought it must be some sort of test. I knew the right people would jump in and say all the right things,,Sorry, Diva, you got in this mess and now you are going to whine and play the victim. I also feel bad for those puppies.
