Well my spoon is 6 months old! I have posted some pics in another thread about her weight. I want to build some muscle on her but in a healthy way! What would you guys suggest! She already gets alot of running in she has a play buddy that we meet with and play! I am buying her a backpack but I am just going to put light weight on her since she is only 6mo! anyways what would you guys suggest

play buddy, as in off leash, play buddy?
heads up on that one. Friends one minute, different story the next.
that being said, walking, swimming, spring pole, flirt pole. ALL good ways to exercise a 6 month old pup. Walking, imo, is one of the best ways, plus, it's great for the owner, as well.

Best to let her grow naturally and not do any strenuous exercise that could over stress her joints

Regular puppy play, fetch , hand walking are all good exercise. Her weight in the picts looks fine

Genetics and good nutrition also play a part in the way the pup will develop

Dont worry they are VERY well supervised! If they even get close to rough play we make them sit down! We only let them run and chase each other any rough play they have to sit!

Her buddy is a 5 yr old boxer

At 6 months... Feed her a good quality food, give her as much exercise as she wants to have, and just give her time to grow! Genetics are going to play a big part, too, and you don't want to overwork a puppy.

i personally cant wait to start building my girl up but at the same time you have to be responsible about it,6 months is too young to start trying to build your dog up, its not necessary as it will be growing anyway so i advise you wait until your dogs natural growth is complete and then start building her up and as was already said genetics play a big role in determining your dogs adult size, there are lots of ways to build a dog up am not gonna go through as theyve been covered many times before,so in the mean time just feed the best kibble you can and let it be a pup handwalking daily and daily play too, hope this helps good luck with your dog

everyone here said it good..... DO NOT over work the puppy. let the pup be a pup because this is the time were its learning things about the way the world works... the puppy is only going to be a puppy once in its life working it would be like taking a 5 year old kid and making it have a full time job LOL... wait some people do that... anyhow we get the point.

if you overwork the pup it could alter the bones, or discouage it from working.

feed the pup LOTS of good food... and walk everyday that sould be good enough.

somtimes i feed my pup yummy things like sardeens LOL....
