I don't think the people here are trying to rag on you as much as save a pit bull from being destroyed in a place that has already outlawed the dogs. Stick around and educate yourself on the breed if you feel the need to. But to get one of these dogs and take the chance of getting caught, having the animal destroyed, and possibly getting yourself into some kind of trouble isn't a good thing.

Dude just sip on some tea and settle down. It is logic that we are getting at. I am all for pissing on the system and keeping my dogs no matter what comes my way. But if your going to spend that kind of cash spend it on a worth while dog. I have a friend in Norway and another In Switzerland. and others in Europe. UK I say not. I don't know any one in the UK that has them worth feeding. Not your fault it is the fault of your parlament and their constant dictatorship over other peoples affairs. Get what you want. But keep it safe and hidden as you say. If a house and lots of land is what makes a person rich then I pray you to be rich. I have that also but it isn't what makes me rich. It is friends that make me rich. The love of friends, family and above all God. That is wealth beyond measure.

dizzeed wat are you thinking? why an apbt now after whats just happened over there?!(5 year old girl killed supposedly by a apbt) they were already illegal there and after that they are really cracking down on these dogs and just confiscating them why would you risk it? my advice is get a staffie similar look and temperment and theyre legal dont risk having a dog confiscated and having to hide it for its entire life cos i guarantee it wont last someone will see it and report you

If, and I say "IF" I was in the UK, and wanted a Gamebred dog, I would drive to Italy and get one. Several good dogs there and Poland also.

Tell you the truth bro I would find a place that doesn't condemn my dogs. I am not attached to any place on earth so much I wouldn't sell it and move.

  11. I think the same way ....but 70-75 pound Bulldogs exist, very rare but they exist. This Bulldogs (if REALLY pure) are the absolutE giants.....However I like the small fire-cracker.

Oh I know they exsist my friend. I just don't see any point in keeping or breeding a dog that big. Standards are for a reason. Even if the are not always understood they should be followed till you do understand why. And believe me it doesn't take long to figure that out. They are fine if all you're ever going to do is pull or make a pet out of it. But for show, they rarely ever place. For hunting wild game is where you really find out why the smaller faster dogs are the best. The size of the dog doesn't equate taking down larger game more effectively. Especially when that larger game is a cougar, Bear or hog. They have to out wit and out speed the predator. Agility comes in small packages. In my trained and long experienced oppinion.

Personally, I think that dog is absolutely gorgeous. I don't think he is too big, but that's just me. He is a great looking dog and if you are looking for a pet, I'd get the pup if you really want it. I personally don't care whether the pit is one of the smaller ones or one of the larger ones, a gorgeous dog is a gorgeous dog. I don't breed them and I would adopt another one in a heartbeat. To me, it is the personality of the dog, and what YOU prefer....since it is going to be your dog. I think he is gorgeous! :D

Ok, maybe I should have read the whole thread BEFORE i posted, because now I see what is going on here. I suggest not getting a dog where there is BSL. Period. Not a smart thing to do. You know better than to try and cross the law like that. And putting an innocent animal in the midst of it is twice as wrong. These dogs already have a bad rap as it is. Please don't be one of the people to add on to it. Wait until you are ready for the responsibility and are in a position to get and keep one for a VERY long time. A dog is not just a toy. These guys have long lives, and you are going to need to make sure that you give your dog the good life it deserves. I suggest not getting a pup until much later down the road, and after you have looked into it much more. The dog is still a gorgeous dog, but don't put yourself in the same category as other irresponsible owners. There are thousands of great dogs dying in shelters every day because of it.

My boy Sammy is closing in on 90 lbs, he is a year old now. I,m not saying he is APBT for sure, probably amstaff, but he is one big bulldog for lol. And you want to talk game, you want to see this boy play ball in the yard, he,s got game, hehe.

That is even big for an Amstaff. You sure some one didn't hook you up with an American Bull Dog. I have one of those here that is about 90+ pounds. He is three years old. His owner was going to take him to the pound so I got him from her. Worthless peice of crap she is.
