Dog Fighting Paraphernalia (what comes up when Googled)

So after reading through a similar discussion, I got the idea to google "dog fighting paraphernalia" just to see what comes up as this is what the general public does. I will also be looking for any laws regarding such as well, so stay tuned.

So far, this is what I've got:
-treadmill
-jenny
-springpole
-flirtpole
-chains
-weights
-vitamins/supplements
-multiple dogs
-dogs housed behind privacy fencing (I think this one gets me the most!)
-break sticks (aka parting sticks)
-list of Champions & Grand Champions (also known as a pedigree)

 

Don't forget books, mags & vids! Isn't that what het got Bob Stevens on, books & vids?

And of course, as we spoke about before, according to the Michigan SPCA, pedigrees are paraphanalia too!

What gets me is shouldn't they be focusing on something more important? Like finding Osama Bin Ladin or something??

 

LoL they know where osama is.. or atleast thats what ive heard.. He's in some mountain thats extremly cold and high and it would be almost impossible for the military to get him because of the angle and how high mountain is and our soldiers are mainly trained in desert type war tactics.. and if u shoot bullets up a mountain there not gonna hit where they supposed to while when bullets fly down the mountains they will hit even harder and faster =s but im probably just talkin out the side of my mouth..

Yea thats pretty stupid that all the spca is so stupid and dont take the time to go find out what these things are really used for. An atleast see if these people show there dogs, or weight pull etc instead of automatically saying there dog fighters. Im sure some breeder with multiple Blue dogs will be acussed of dog fighting and then spca probably will be like these are the rarest fighting pitbulls in the world as u can tell by there blue coats which are not normally made and these dogs are bred to be big so there stronger then smaller pitbulls or some stupid ish like that lol.

Something I think people should at least spend 1/4 the time researching this with all the time spent researching bloodlines and such. Always have a good idea of what your enemy (not just of dog fighters but apbt owners in general) is thinking.

Boy most of us that do it right are criminals, but the sad part is, is that those of us who do do it right are the ones they fall on the hardest.

 

Did we forget the PC's! What if they look at my moms toy poodles pedigree with champions in it are they goin to seize her for fighting. Never heard of a 7 pounder in the pit!!!!

 

That is not true. Our soldiers are trained to fight in every climate.

 

Here are some "Signs of a dogfighter/dogfighting paraphernalia" that I've heard.


Pictures of pit bulls or other fighting breeds
Breeding stands
Sleeves
Lots of puppies or kittens (bait, LOL)
2" wide collars
Long toenails
Meds/Vaccs given by owner



Geeze, if they get their way all that's left will be irresponsible owners with poorly bred dogs who know nothing about the breed and can't handle and/or contain them properly. That will help the situation! :rolleyes: Actually no, if they get it their way there won't be any APBTs to properly contain.

 

You know....I've been thinking about getting a treadmill. And I have been debating because I have read that it's considered dog fighting paraphenalia. Now I have a few ribbons and such from dog shows. And I thought well I could always show those and try to explain that I'm not doing anything wrong. But, IF the law decided to come raid my house for some reason....I don't know that anything I had to say would be taken in to consideration. I mean I would have pedigrees too :eek: I must be fighting dogs. :rolleyes:

What can we do to protect ourselves and our dogs?

me being a hog hunter i'm sure i'd get run through the ringer if i got a visit. i can see it now, "your dogs have scars, they must be used for fighting."

 

Ok those are just rediculous because I have a springpole set up in 3 places in my yard. I have a treadmill to get them ready for show. All of my dogs are on chains. I have pedigree's on every dog I own. I have weight for drag sled to get them ready for weight pull. I have more than 3 dogs So I guess I have multiple dogs. I have a 6' privatecy fence and every dog has thir own dog house. And I have vitamins for the dogs. Whats rong with this picture.

There's nothing wrong with what we are doing..... there's something wrong with what these stupid animal control and other officials are doing. They are ganging up on us for NO reason.
Everyone on this site has probably most of what is on that list

Well, its not paraphenelia unless you have a pit bull. A breeder of sled dogs won't be called a dogfighter if he has a treadmill, weight sleds, chains, vitamins,or pedigrees with champions listed on them. Hell they could have dogs scarred from head to toe and they won't be charged for dogfighting.
