ok heres my pet, but people always ask me on the street and i dont know what to tell them. ok so hes a pit.although i dont have a pedigree, the only reason i would want it is to see his history, so i can have facts whenever i need to correct others, or educate. my question would be that what does he lean toward what mixture i know theres alot of mixes out there but i just want to know so i can look into the right path.

There is nobody on this site who is going to be able to tell you what bloodline he is just by looking at a picture. they would need to at least know who his parents are.

  5. i dont want the exact bloodline, opinion or an answer if it was possible. but i know that the dad was a blue and the mom a rednose. although color has nothing to do with it does it?

Odds are if the dad was blue and from judging by the picture you're looking at a big dog that wasn't bred for it's temper. So be careful with it around people until you're sure how it's gonna act.

  7. hes good around people likes to play a whole lot. hes been with our pet chihuhua since i got him at 6 weeks, but if he sees unfamiliar dogs thats when he gets protective. i walk him to the park everyday, takes us like 30 mins.

if your dog is really 1/2 blue 1/2 rednose you going to have a pretty big pit IMO 70- 90lbs easy but blues can be mean little fuckers, no matter how you love em keep that leash tight

Here's the deal. Without obtaining a dog from an honest, reputable, responsible dog owner/breeder who kept/keeps accurate pedigree information, there is no telling what bloodline the dog is from or even if it is purebred.

With that said, no one is going to be able to tell you the dog's ultimate height, weight, ect. since no one knows anything about the sire, dam, grandsire, granddam & what they looked like.

As for the blue nose/red nose issue, that means nothing other than one dog had a blue nose & one dog had a red one. It does not signify bloodlines by any means nor do all blue nosed dogs or red nosed dogs share the same body structure, temperement, etc.

He's a very cute pup & all I can tell you is just to sit back, wait, & see. Also, if it were my dog, I'd lose the collar in a deep river or something. ;)

nice , can i make a suggestion.... lose the spiked collar. It's gonna be labled a pit in the "streets" last thing you wanna do is draw neg attention to him. I think you have a bully on you hands and agree with Jager he's gonna be a big one

  15. but isnt the color of the dog just a color. what matters is the bloodline right?
so his dad was blue n the mom a red or vise versa, does really matter? the dad couldve just popped out blue couldnt he? how are they any different.?

  16. sorry about the collar guys it wasnt intended to offend anyone just for my own personal album.

spiked collars are bad PR for pit bulls. pit bulls already have a bad image because of the media. when you put a spiked collar on the dog it makes them look mean. it sounds stupid but when you put a dog with a bad image and a spiked collar together it makes things worse. a spiked collar will bring more negative attention

its rare to see any game dogs give birth to a blue nose. tom garner says he hasent had a blue pup in over 30 years. most blue nose come from lines that were bred with other breeds. razors edge, gotti, grey line, watch dog etc

You are most definitely right that color is just a color. However, many many many people have turned these dogs into living, breathing fashion accessories & color & size are all that matter to them. Red/red nosed dogs were the first major fashion craze (IMO) & they were bred strictly for their coat color, nose color, & size (often by outcrossing to the Dogue de Bourdeaux). Every other breed standard most specifically working ability & pedigrees were tossed out the window. Then the white 'pit bull' craze hit. And now we are in the blue/blue nosed fashion craze. And again, many of these who bred their dogs strictly for the blue color & the size outcrossed to various breeds including the Neopolitan Mastiff & the English Bulldog (to give that short & wide physique).

You've got the pup now & it's done. So now comes the researching, studying, & learning all you can about the APBT: the history, the modern day dog, how to preserve the breed for the future & what has & is still happening to the breed by back yard breeders & puppy peddlers. ;)
