    Ch. Chinaman ROM
He was beautifully built. He won when the odds were against him, and he was an amazing producer.
His story just seems like the American dream to me. He went from rags to riches, in a sense.

Tombstone, for showing an incredibly game dog, can beat a high-ability dog, of perhaps, lesser heart. This picture is of the final scratch, and has always inspired me. On top of his own abilities, he had knowledgable dogmen to bring him back, and showcase his producing abilities. Which weren't bad either, I might add.

Another dog which I've always deeply respected, which deserves a nod for many the same reasons, and is often over looked is Jimmy Boots.

  6. I agree Jimmy Boots was great, but I think he's over looked because of his production record. Probably a disservice. For anone whos not fimiliar with his story poke around this thread...http://www.game-dog.com/forums/showthread.php?p=248653#post248653

@ Coolhandjean- On Chinaman, another great dog. I don't know how much of his story is myth nowadays, and what's true, but I love the past about him being rolled his first two times out while being schooled and stopped two 3x CH's. Some people attrivute his success simply to state of the art conditioning, but he was said to have the mouth of an alligator! One of my favs too.

For my pick, I am really high on STP's Gr. CH Buck at this time. Game, abilty, all rolled into one package 46 lb. package. Here's an excerpt from his story...

As a pup Buck was sold by Pat Patrick to a physician. He proved to be an unsatisfactory pet and was sold to the late Alan Waldman who matched and won two with Buck in the low 50's. One over Aldo's Zeke, who later became a Champion, and the other over Winchester's Conan. STP purchased Buck from Alan Waldman when Buck just turned 2 years old and campaigned him at his correct weight, 46 lbs. As soon as STP started to work Buck they saw he had incredible stamina. In STP's hands, Buck demolished all of his competition, which included some highly regarded match dogs. Buck did not dazzle fanciers with ten-minute wins, but he had virtually no weakness as a match dog and always dominated his opponent, no matter what style.

  8. Anyone know the bottom half of Melonhead's ped? I guess it barely matters looking at the top half lol. Stomponato, Eli Jr., Bullyson, Plumbers's Alligator, and a handful of good Carvers dogs (Ironhead) and Tudor dogs.

For me, it is a tough one. If I could pick one, it would probably be Ferguson's Centipede. He showed the true nature of the APBT, although he was a bit lazy. Here is a good story about Centipede that I have always enjoyed:

Now a question to make people really think!?

Personally all the old dogs are my favorite, they all proved themselve in some way. I have two real FAVORITE dogs, a male and female, just can't seem to narrow it down to one. ;)

This is my favorite female, Tornado. Her story impressed me the most with 10 wins, and 2 of them being I think 2 or 3 weeks apart.

This boy is my favorite male. He is such an impressive dog in person. I love his attitude and personality.
