B-Line Cowboy POR

Discussion in 'APBT Bloodlines' started by Scratch & Sniff, Dec 11, 2007.

  1. Well I have searched and did not find a thread on him...
I would like to know what you you think about Cowboy and his bloodlines.

    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=57414

^One of his offspring. All the Cowboy stuff I see seems to have very large/boxy heads- is this something common in the line?

Example: www.oldglorykennels.com - very strong/boxy type heads on the dogs.

    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=57390

^Another... this being from Red Rover Kennels http://www.renegadewebdesign.net/rrkhome.html

All the dogs again seem very large heads...

    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=131398

^Vadar... from Wildside Kennels another Cowboy offspring... and again large head.

Cowboy seems to produce some very NICE LOOKING dogs...

    How are the dogs for...
    Intelligence
    Agility
    Gameness (tenacity)
    Mouth
    Wind

These dogs appear close to or catchweight... maybe it is just the HEAD that is fooling me?

    ??

    Thoughts? Lets discuss.

    Thanks!

Don't get caught up in the B-Line stuff! WSK was rooked on this dog from the start by B-Line Kennels. B-Line's bullshit caused a lot of hate toward WSK after the fact that B-Line was lying about how Cowboy was really bred. B-Line ranks up there with Fat Bill from what I hear!!! Worthless shithead...

It seems that I did say how I feel but don't let me come across the wrong way! I have a dog that has a shot of B-Lines Cowboy in him but he does not look like a Cowboy dog at all. He is Heavy Garner's Spike into WSK Renegade dogs with a shot of B-Lines back in his Pedigree. I feel that is so little in him that the Other dogs will over ride any Bullshit that may be in him! He is a good little dog that has earned his food and a place to sleep!

a couple others that i have

I have several others as well and personal really enjoy the the dogs. They work well for me. Everyone will have their own opinion on many dogs and 80% of the dogs through out history can be argued on their worth as a dog and producer. I like the Cowboy/Renegade/Nigerino or what i would consider "WSK" bred dogs. As far as the size all of mine are between 32-42 lbs which i believe is pretty consistant. I have seen a few larger but i believe that happens for time to time in every line. As far as Vader goes he does have a large head but isn't overdone in any way. Its been a while since ive seen him and have not seen him at a true conditioned weight but on the chain i would gues he sists at about 45 lbs give or take. Everyone argues that cowboy was bred a lot but the same can be said for the majority of other noteable dogs in recent years, and you can argue what he produced as you can with many others but he did achieve ROM status as of earlier this year in the dog world. Mine are used primarily for weight pull and i'll show 'em if they turn out to be to a show standard. I just like a well rounded athletic dog that is eager to do what I want him to do, so in that respect, which is all i can personally speak on, I wouldn't take anything for my WSK bred dogs. Ed is a good freind and a great person who has taught and helped me out a lot in the dogs. Bottom line is if you want to know about a particular line of dogs, find someone with good examples of the line and if possible get to know them and spend some time around the dogs, and remember that their will always be haters no matter what line of dogs you choose to own but it is you at the end of the day who will be responsible for what you choose to feed.

according to D.N.A. testing this is the breeding of cowboy: http://apbt.online-pedigrees.com/pedigrees/printPedigree.php?dog_id=3877

the other ped i belive had him off a different female who was heavy outlaw bred, which either way is from the same family of dogs. Either way people put way to much emphasis in how the dog looks on paper, if you have dogs that work for you what does it matter how they are bred?? I understand you want to get what you're paying for when you buy a dog, but in the case of Cowboy he has enough offspring out there that if you like what you see try some for yourself, if not then move along to another line.

What happens is people use the bit as an excuse when dogs don't work out but in any case all lines have good and bad offspring! Depends on who ownes the dogs you want and are they worth feeding. This goes for all lines unless the breeding has been done before and it's a Fact that the litter will turn out the way you want them to. Very few and I mean just a hand full of Men in this country can even say this for sure. I'm not a dogman but I know a few that keep me honest about what I'm looking at!

Yes, Cowboys paperwork was in question! Cowboy was NOT in question and was a good dog hell he was a CH! Cowboys mamma JANE was a very good dog and was well worth feeding.

Back up slick, not talkin about the dog himself. "CH" does still carry some weight w/ me. It's weak dependin on who bought a dog for what purpose. The kennel breeder, probably not a big deal. The family breeder, yeah, this would cause a problem. But since it is still the same family I imagine it wouldn't cause to much pain. Ive personally had some experience with a pedigree of a dog "changing" over time

The bottom 1/4 was originally more CH Booker T than is shown now. Doesn't effect my dogs quality, but couldve effected which way I take 'em
