Here is a dog to evaluate and understand that he produced exceptional dogs. He is also the grand sire to my Marty Mcfly Dog. This offers the Frisco, Earl showing the implementation of the Bolio performance into this line. Tracing the Eli and the Tombstone in these fabulous dogs is amazing when you uncover what history has set in front of you. The pedigree is very family oriented you just have to dust it off a little and clear your mind and try to see the pattern in breeding's that are laid before you. From one dog to the next generation you may have to go back eight generations to see something that clicks. If pedigrees are true as seen then the science is bliss. I am a pedigree buff but it goes deeper than this when studying a breeding before it happens. An overall evaluation of each dog is important. you may gain some here and lose some there and this should be the deciding factor. Is my breeding going to make better dogs than the sire and dam???

In my short run at this sport of trying to better the breed, I have improved the dogs on my yard by sticking to the fact that good dog to good dog will up your percentage of producing better offspring! Things like this will keep me up at night trying to understand what I am about to do. It makes me crazy because I am so into my work and hate failure but you have to take the good with the bad and hope after all the sleepless nights it works out for the best!

You always want the gameness to be # 1 but you also want to see better athletes in you breeding's. Some old doggers like a race horse looking dog. Thick rear-end "Strong" with a long body which gives you wind and ability to reach out further. Long narrow head allows the dog to breath better while in holds rather than a short headed dog that could lose the ability to catch a breath if a dog was on the nose or he is mouth deep in a hold. Patrick's "Red Baby" would be a very good example of the build I'm talking about.

This information is taken from historical readings and my evaluations of how a pit dog should be put together. So the standards of some kennel clubs are way off to what some dog men would consider the perfect APBT Pit Dog. A big head is just extra weight to carry around and not an advantage in the pit.

this is just a bit of information to ponder as to the way it would have been back in the day...

Mentor approved for your reading! Slick

Damn Slick, you just busted out the build, blueprints and end result of my program!! Get accused of it all the time w/ the real ladies but Im an ass man! Dogs do most of their work off those hips and rears. Yeah the front puts in work, but the ass is what keeps you there. The longer muzzle is also better for a full set of teeth! Ive seen more than my share of short muzzled dogs w/ two, sometimes all three teeth missin between incisor and premolar. Call me crazy, but thats why I never bought the 'bulldogs have short muzzles to breath while holding a bull' bs!! How do you get a DEEP bite if you pass out from lack of O2? not gonna happen. Same as holdin on w/ no O2, just doesn't work.

They are only a few with these Bro because of who owned the dog! You have a quality bitch that a lot would love to have just because who owned the sire. You know how I feel about her Shark!!! Love it...
