Messed up Tummy

about how long does it take for a pup to take on too new food, I just got my pup monday...and the breeder gave me a bag of food, I guess what he has been eating...Well anyway, he passed that later that night...and i gave him diamond puppy food the next day...and now its all liquid coming out......

 

Its going to happen with changing to a new food. If you still have any of the food left that the breeder gave you , then start with more of that food mixed with some new food. Then as the days go by start mixing more of your food in with his old food. This will help him adjust to the new diet and helps stop the diarrhea, not saying it won't happen but it helps it from being really bad.

You might want to stay away from that Diamond Kuntree. I lost 2 dogs to poisoned Diamond food & I talked to a fancier last week at a pull who nearly lost his entire yard to poisoned Diamond food.

As for your poo problem, Twiztid's advice is right on. If that doesn't firm the stools back up enough, I have heard a little canned pumpkin will firm up loose stool as well.

Last night, snowman pooped liquid, then he passed some blood.....i found the name of the previous food, got some mixed it with the diamond...and it seems to be all better now..thanks for the advice.

 

Your welcome! Glad to hear he's doing better, just keep an eye on him everytime he goes, if it thickens up then your on the right track. Just keep plenty of water near by when he's like that, diarreha can take alot of fluids from them. Also watch the blood, if it continues after the stool gets firmer, then you may want to have him checked out.
