Hey guys im a long time reader of the board but just now got registered and this is my first post. I love all the information that I have received from the board and just wanted to get the opinions from some of you before I purchase my next pup. I did what alot of people do and purchased my first pit without doing much research, but luckily ended up with a decent dog and not a blue mutt that some people end up buying. Im now stuck trying to decide between some breeders and they include sorrells and tom garners dogs. I have also thought about ironline kennels and I have a breeder near me that is breeding some maverick/sixbits blood. Just wanted to get some opinions from you guys ,and I look forward to posting on the board. Thanks

all three of the bloodlines (as six bits is in the same family as maverick, although.... nevermind it would take awhile) you mentioned come from excellent and reputable breeders as long as you go to the source. which is now impossible with maverick dogs, however, you can still get well bred six bits down from dogs that were bred and owned by clemmons.

*edit* just a side note here, you can still get dogs down from maverick that were bred from stock sold by FB

Each line has AWSOME dogs that will live on in the memory of Doggers as Greats.... ONLY you can deside on what line you want.. BUT Who you get the dog from matters 1000000000 x more than what line you go with.... get to know the people... The ones who do NOT WANT to sell you something tend to have the better dogs.... jmho

P.S I like the crossed OFRN dogs... and heavy Eli dogs..... Each strand has it's pro's and con's.....

Go with Tom Garner. He continues to produce some great dogs. He has a good variety of Chinaman crosses. Plus, he is probably the most reasonable with pricing his dogs.

i like my frisco dogs. try one off bolo or el negro but better be ready for the real possibility of a high strung bulldog.

  6. Between Sorrell and Garner I would have to pick Sorrell. I have had some tight Garner blood and some Sorrell cross. I was not to empressed with the Garner stuff.

My chose of blood to start with in breeding is Redboy, Bolio, Bullet, and Jeep. Breeders I would go to and like there dogs are C.Mims, Tom Ratliff, and Ed Farren with wildside kennels. Mims has a nice verity of Redboy stock and many others but mainly Redboy. Tom Ratliff has some exelent Buck dogs which is Bolio blood and Redboy/Jocho dogs. And Wildside has some good Jeep/Outlaw/Niggarino dogs from wildside I had a bitch off Ch. Black Cowboy dog that I like. I also have some others that I know I you would like to know and have a litter coming up from some Redboy/Bolio/wildside stuff I have you can E-mail me ***Edited by Marty*** Please read the rules of the site...

Red cocaine how did that Eli and OFRN come out! Boone just depends on your personal preference and what you can do for the dogs. What I mean is if you got a guy down the street from you who has maverick/sixbits blood (good stuff IMO) why not go with some garner tight chinaman or like someone else said clemmons. Great things take time if you rush you might regret.

Tom Ratliff you got to be kidding.I would not trust him as far as I could throw his fat ass. When he lived in NY we called his yard Owshvitze for all the poor starven dogs he owened. It was a perfect peta poster.Anyone that would treat a bulldog like that is a scumbag.I would'nt beleive ANY pedagree with his name in it.Take it for what its worth but I saw it with my own eyes.

If you a not in a hurry and don't know exactly what you want, I would start going to some shows in your area and start mingling with some people there. If you see dogs you like, ask about them. Figure out what you really like. All the mentioned names would be ok to get a dog from, but, I would recommend meeting people around you and see if there is anything you like. I don't know where you are but there is probably every bloodline you mentioned close. If you were wanting a dog now and wanted to spend money, I would probably say go with Tom Garner out of the breeders you refered to.

My experience with Tom Garner, bought a dog just 1 year ago, is positive. I would try something not too inbreed off Frisco, just because the bad things like shyness can come with the total package those dogs are (conformation, drive, smart, long wind) but im pretty satisfied with mine.

You can see pictures on my gallery and here is a recent movie:

You can see the frisco genes LOL.

Anyway, talk to the man, explain to him what you want/need and im sure he'll send you something that fits your needs. Cant talk about other breeders.

  12. hahaha, Tete is a true dog! No wonder why they call men dogs....hahaha. He is looking good bro! How old is he now? How is Bongo doing? How is his right leg handling? Are you looking at breeders if seeking another pup?

I ran into a good guy that runs the Maverik stuff. Mr C himself had a hand in quite a few of the breedings on his yard. and his yard was started with dogs directly from Mr. C's yard. His dogs are sold at a working mans price too. Very cheep. Seems like a good guy. PM me and I can get you his info.

He's 16 months old and weights like 50lb, he was like that for 3 hours lol. Bongo doing much better, humid weather hurts his bones but now weather here is alright so after the sun is down we go do good walks.

No puppys for me till old Bongo dies, lets give him 4-5 good years ;) My bro is getting interested on dogs but as you know quality on Spain is poor and import a dog is expensive and risky.

  16. 16 months???? No way! You need to check the papers again. If memory serves me right, you got the pup way before i got my pup now 14 months. I figured at least 18 months of age. Funny thing though, Tete acts just like my pup, horny all day long. Does he try to hump Bongo?

Let us hope he lives a healthy life until then. Maybe by the time you are ready for another one, some quality dogs have matured and proven their breeding worth. I think you know the dogs I mean. Spain just got a shot of quality. I hope the new owners do not waste or ruin them.

Hes 16 months old, was born 7 January 07 and i got him just 1 year ago when he was 4 months old, couldnt get him sooner because of the damn rabbies shot + 30 days requeriment for shipping to Spain.

Hes like that just with females, with Bongo he doesnt plays or really interact, they respect each other and they both sleep with me on the same bed but nothing more :P

I hope so, the quality and level on Spain couldnt be worse lol, well unless some breeders but you know what i mean, all the time i wait will be good for the next addittion. Only time will tell :P
