Recently my dogs (not at the same time) have diarrhea at least once a week or every other week, what has worked for me so far is starve the dog for one day, the next day with an empty stomach feed the dog half the portion of his regular kibble mixed in with %100 pure pumpkin in a can, it works like a charm all the time, and their stool goes back to normal, I have a feeling its the kibble im feeding them, I went from canadae all stages to diamonds all naturals beef (on a budget at the moment) , i did this change about 2 months ago, so im sure there stomachs adjusted by now, I might be going back to canadae. What I do works for me, what do you do when your dog has diarrhea.

White rice in chicken broth. Works for my dog when she has diarrhea.

  3. Couldn't have said it better. Pumpkin, chicken broth and rice is what we do for ours.

Our female has a very sensitive stomache. We use Canidae and lately she has been getting worse. She has it at least twice a week if not more. Thinking about taking her to the vet if it persist. Any thoughts? Been using canidae for at least a year. Our male does fine beside his large nasty droppings.

Brown rice is better and if you choose to use chicken broth (which I would not) use the no sodium kind. Salt dehydrates the body, so does diarrhea! ;)

We feed them rice and if its really out of control then we break out the Amodium AD.

If your dogs have the squirts once a week what else are you feeding them inbetween ? Useually the only time we have issues is when they chew rawhide.

  7. Trust me, we aren't new to this. That was not the case. It's food.

to keep a dog from having a upset stomach when feeding a new food. you have to slowly introduce the new food by mixing the new food in with the old food. slowly increase the amount of new food.do this after using of the pumpkin it may take up to a week with this but it is almost guaranteed to work to settle his or her stomach hope it works out give us update;)
