First off I would like to say great post as you have bought HIT and LIT into some people lives. Being a althelte myself I agree but in humans and these dogs we are alike but very diffrent. When conditioning a dog your trying to get the leanest weight at the most efficent output. If your constantly building muscle your gaining weight and making your frame heavier to carry. On a carpet surface or carpet treadmill plain and simple there is resistance but on bare floor or a slatmill there is relativly none thus meaning the dog on a carpet tredmill can not reach maximum stress. MS being the point right before the being breaks stride or gets tired one in the same. Full speed untill he gets tired. Look at boxing why do you think the light weights go in longer rounds than the heavy weights because there in better shape from having the leanest body mass and training like that. If you run and train with a parachute on then you will more than likely be more explosive cause your muscle are so use to the extra resistance, but you will get tired faster cause your muscles can only go like that for so long. Maximum stress is the key IMO the longer you can stay at MS than the longer you will be able to go at that intensity(as long as your game desires). To each is his or her own thats just my 2 cent though.

He was a Golden Glove winner, I believe in Italy. And just because you build up muscle doesn't mean you're adding "bad" weight to your frame. He was only 180lbs for a contest. Granted, he was only like 5ft. You can build muscle and still have wind at a light weight.

You make a good point about Max Stress though, but it seems like you do it in favor of the carpet mill. When the dog gets to full sprint on a slat, then breaks stride and starts trottin, then he won't be at maximum stress. When a dog is on the carpet mill, he has to push his whole weight to make it spin. Wont this keep him working harder the whole time not just when he's flyin'. On the gaining weight/muscle issue, more sources than I can name have stated that a dog will only get so big, you CANT make him muscle bound if its not in his genetic code. So he'd get to a peak and be done. My only question is the kidneys, isn't it possible to "burn" them up?

    Okay enough is enough.
A couple of posters have been consoled and mentored by Conditioner 2 Thousand.

    You know who you are.
If this continues that will no longer be available to either one.

Sooner or later, if hasn't been said already, information was for your ears only and might be posted and that information isn't open for debate.

The information has been time tested.
The advise/opinion is based of years of proven experience.

So end this debate between two people who both know the breeder of their dogs good, should stop now and just forget it.

If you don't understand what I trying to say, then email me and I will go into greater depth.
But it is known, there is no one alive that can out condition or handle C2K.
C2K stays on the cutting edge of products for conditioning.
And yes he does know which is better or should I say the purpose of slat or carpet mill.
You name them, he has seen their mills and have used them over the years.
Now let people believe what they want.
Keep your conditioning secrets to yourself.
Please do not make me to continue into this debate or posting on this board.
    Thanks in advance.

BTW, I am not the person who advertised in the Gazette.
Also that person hasn't owned the Red Devil bloodline for 30 years.

If we are so different, than you shouldn't use boxers as an analogy since you can't relate it to dogs. Although I will say I've never seen a dog put weight on while being conditioned, no matter how they were worked, as long as the diet is on point.

I am relatively knew here and I came here to learn. I would like to own a mill someday. I think it's a great exercise tool for people with minimal amount of space. But how do you train a dog to move or even run on a treadmill?
