im suprised noone has mentioned mayfields pit general in here.

 

I would say mine are:
Zebo
Vindicator
Homer
Tornando
Kango

 

This might have started as a question of who is the best, but if you read all the posts you will see that it has changed into a question of “Who do you like best”. No one is saying that this dog is better than that dog. Everyone is posting their favorite dogs of the past!
No one in this tread can be accused of poor sportsmanship, no dogs are being bad mouthed, everyone is talking about the positive points of the dogs.

But hey, that is MY opinion!!

 

Well I serious doubt that the majority of these people have seen any of these mentioned dogs, so what exactly is it that they like best about the dogs? The stories they heard or the way they look? Please...

...but go ahead and continue, I won't spoil the fantasy any longer, lol .

 

I would say since I haven't seen any of the dogs I mentioned personally it would be the stories of them.

Not a problem at all truth is always the best way to go. I did notice nobody mentioned lonzo blood I was the only one I think.

I really like that #3 lol,I also like your #1.I saw Buck a few times and he was a hell of a bulldog.I have also seen dogs that thru no fault of there own got some very bad breaks.Phils little George comes to mind.In someone else's hands that dog would have been a legend.Nothing against Phil just got some very bad breaks.The story I heard was a guy had George as a pup and was driving him around and stoped somewere and George ripped out the whole intieror of the guys car.so he gave him to Phil and George ripped a tire off Phils motorcycle.Needless to say Phil didnt have much love for the dog.Thats why he went into Virgil when George was only 14 or 15 months old and damn near beat him!On his last one they took him to the midwest in a van that had an exaust leak.everyone including George was sick but they went ahead anyway and It was a disaster,he didnt get hurt but died after.No one knew at the time what the problem was.Phil turned down $10,000 for George that very morning.It was a damn shame for an ace to go out that way.

 

To answer on roughest toughest ect... Zebo, Vindicator, Kango would be mine IMO

These are my favorites based on storys and the influence of there offspring in today apbt world I would have to say in No particular order.....

Ch alligator, not to mention he was a badazz..but u can aquire some real good stuff from him still today, that tells ya a lot right there.

Pit general his name says it all,with some top notch conditioning from one of the all time greats r.i.p don mayfield.

Adams Zebo he went into some real good dogz and always won.

Chinaman not really game tested but was very devasting and would put u away quick from the stories u read about anyways.
Last but not least 7xindian bolio a head wresting freak with a super big bite!!!

everyone seems to be hung up on accuracy, but it is just a matter of opinion. my favs are of course for my own reasons..... im into the history so of course i choose Tudors Black Jack#1,and Dibo #2. all the Colby dogs have their place...and from there its soooooo hard but i do like Jeep, Honeybunch, Homer, etc. etc. Good thread though folks
