The Ch.Macguyver,Mojo and King are the best I have seen personaly from the Frisco line.Alot not all heavy bred Frisco dogs are shy and just wierd animals, i had a few that were like that.Every bloodline produces different types of dogs, as a perspective owner you have to go with what u like and that takes time. Myself personally i like Jeep/Redboy/Rascal as they have been good to me over the years and I have went through other lines too. The key is finding dogs the come off stock that is'nt being peddled you will get better results and be much happier in the end. Hey PurePit B.Sorrels runs heavy Zeke dogs off Bull, Bolio's half brother and R.Sorrels ran Boomerang dogs.Man u lucky to have me for a partner.:)

I dont know who this^^^ is to but i feel like it helps my side of the arguement...Someone (or something)with knockout power (crunch) isnt always gonna need the same kind of physical training as say a counter puncher who relys on his speed and conditioning to stay outta trouble...and when it really comes down to raw talent i dont feel like a true "Ace" in any sport needs the same kinda conditioning as just the average athlete. Im not saying they shouldnt work hard but they ones that CHOOSE not to still win..

i don't think so. i fought in 135 lbs'ers when i was in Fort Sam Houston in combatives. We were training all day besides that we have PT in the morning where we wake up 4 am and run miles. But when i was out in IL for Exodus, i train in MMA with civilians. and i fought in 170's. and guess what?.. :)

I even sparred with 200 lbsers but he didn't make me tapp out. i survived.. those guys were fighting for years but not enough training per se.

@sampson1 my bad i def misread ur post:eek:
not sayin talent always win but if someones talent is that much higher than yours then ur not gonna win.
U can condition a cur and get him to optimal level, not gonna beat a gr ch
the gr ch is just that much better wether he is in shape or not
i admit there is fine line

speaking from limited experience owning one sorrell dog.so easy to train you dont even actually have to train them for anything, veery smart DA,dont get crazy around non aggressive dogs.only bad thing i would worry about is i question their natural wind, mind you this is a 60 pound dog

My female is an Sorrells / Hammonds Cross!
    Rock solid Bulldog!
She is pretty drivey, intelligent, has extreme good nerves and smarts.
She´s an eager worker aswell as learning pretty quick. Also she is pretty friendly natured and relaxed.
You can walk straight trough hell and back with her without she even minds.
She´s very strong and powerfull, one of the strongest dogs I ever owned!!!!!
She also gives a perfect watchdog as she could tell common happenings from strange ones, she also is a little into scanning people what frightens some as she stands right in front of you and stares you directly into your eyes and she could do that for hours!
She is a very self confident dog that is highly bounded to only me any other people are nice but she wouldn´t even consider you worthy to get any further recognition by her.
She loves kids and even she´s rough and tough she´s pretty cautious with old or disabled people aswell as children.
She isn´t noisy or hypered but high energetic.
To me she´s all I could ask out of a dog!

Lol ok whatever. Let me reword!
IN MY OPINION- dogs that lose interest be spring pole, flirt, or any type of work that they start hard on and stop because of being bored and not from fatigue is a quitter in my book!
That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it!

How can you even call a springspole 'working', more like playing to me.
People call things work too soon...

Hold up dude Spring pole is considered a working tool to many dogmen!
Your missing the point! It's simple, I'm not gonna spell it out for you! The concept may just be to high over your head for you to grasp at it!

For real tho, this thread is about bloodline characteristics and is getting off topic!
Anyone wanting to poke at my posts will be just trying a little to hard! I'ts an opinion nothing more nothing less!
We all got standards on what kind of dog we wanna feed. Some are just different than others! Take it for what it is!

Rick and Bert are not related familly those are 2 different line's, i love the line off bert and further off tatonka kennels they doing a good job on the sorrells blood-line.
in europe we don't have a lot off sorrells at this time, you can find some but all related to the silver and you find them in bosnia, serbia & montenegro some other you find related to bert and joanie in italy and at my place belgium

  16. You better get out of bulldogs then.

To me football is just playing, to Vick it's another day at work. I would take flirt work over any other next to hand walking because it teaches the dog to work in sprints and intervals. If you know much about exercise you know interval training is more effective than doing the same thing the same speed. You can get a dog to work in intervals on a mill or a hide, but not as well. Plus, like you said, it's like playing so the dog thinks it's fun

  20. some of the best dogs I"ve known have been hardest to get to work, conditioning that is. Some of the poorest have been almost self conditioning. Those are two different things, not related to one another in any way. I"ve also known some that uless you found excersize they liked and wanted to do would just look at you like you were crazy. It would be nice to be able to predict what one will do one the hunt from how they take to excersize but it just isn"t the case.
