Hi all, new user from London, England

Hi everyone,

I’ve just signed up to the site, although I’ve been visiting for a while now, just never registered before.

Just thought I’d pop in and say hi to everyone and to introduce myself.

My names Ryan, I’m 24 and live in London, UK. I currently don’t have a Pitbull but am looking at getting a dog in the near future, I guess I’m currently in research mode. What better way to learn about life with a Pitbull then to be on a forum dedicated to them and their owners!

Anyway that’s all I’ve got to say for now, but I look forward to getting to know you all in the future.

arent bulldogs still banned in london?

My understanding that is that they're "heavily restricted"

Restrictions being,

They must be neutered.
They must be insured.
They must be muzzled and kept on a lead in public.
They must be microchipped.
They must be registered.

But this is something I'll have to look into tonight when I get more time

 

they are banned,those restrictions only apply if the dog was born before the law was brought in n dat was about ten years ago.... just get a sbt

To be honest finding good stock is going to be hard but its around. Just dont get sucked into the red nose trap of any dog on gumtree/clasifieds site with a red nose is a bulldog. often mixes and dont trust the piczo crap either.

But yeah there banned DDA '91 Ammended in '97.

As far as i know bulldogs and a couple of other breeds are banned in England.
