Chain Link Kennel from Sams Club: $200 to ship, WTF?

My dogs do about 3 hours outside per day on tie outs (8 and 9 months old respectively) and have pretty much destroyed my backyard (beautiful deck, grass, hot tub cover, Pergola).

I am hiring a landscaper to get it back in shape and buying a new hot tub cover plus the dogs are old enough to run behind the bike and do some more adult work now.

Thus I just want a chain link kennel where they can play together (supervised of course). I found a 15 by 6 by 6 feet high one at Sams club for $235...so far so good. But when I went to check out, the delivery was $191!! And I called and there is no option for me to pick up.

Any reasonably priced kennels out there that aren't delivered by rapists, or do I have to build my own?

I am slammed for time w/ work right now, thanks.

TSC has some that are under $300 and usually have them in stock, or can get them for you

The last one I got from TSC is the same dimensions you mentioned Dr. and was 200.00. We had to make a conversion on the door latch though. The one on it was a push up, push down latch that was sort of lame, not the horse shoe shaped one. Other than that is was OK.

    It's about $80 for a roll of 50' x 6' chain link
About $8 per corner post and $6 for line posts
We just made 4 dog runs and we did it our selves with items from Home Depot.
We also just used a picket pounder to put in the line and corner posts. we have dirt that is really compact so we didn't need to pour concrete. We also built our own gates but you could buy them premade. I found a couple on craigslist.com for cheap. I have used pre made panels in the past but they do not hold up well with APBT's I think. it's worth saving the money to take a weekend to do it yourself.

We built our kennel ourselves. Go to Home Depot and get a bunch of 6' x 6' chain link panels (including one with a gate, obviously), and the hardware to clamp them together. We got 8 panels and ended up with a 6' x 12' kennel with a top. And the nice thing is, you've got the versatility to move that around and change the configuration if your needs change. We just took the kennel apart and used the panels to make a small dog yard for my dad's little dogs. Plus, places like Home Depot have trucks that they will rent you. I think it cost us $25-30 to use one of their trucks and cart the panels back to our house.

We are building one today...I am working both of my asses off but I hired a relieble guy and it will be 10 by 10 feet.

He is landscaping my whole yard and the kennel is going to run me about $450 including everything. It is being drilled into my concrete patio.
