DVD: Walker Payne

is it a movie about dogs and where can i get it?

 

I just rented this movie. Its a good one , I like how they depict the dogs as very family and loyal companions the way they really are , rather than an agreesive human eater like society wants u to think. There was some parts I didnt agree with but , I have no clue on how it shgoulve been done either, so I really cant complain. Overall I would recomend to certain folks.

overall, I thought the movie sucked!! the only good thing about the movie was that they portrayed the gamedog as a gamedog, and not an overweight mongrel!! For the true gamedog fancier I would recomend this movie, but do not expect to watch a clasic film.

Yes, I enjoyed it myself! I got teary eye when Walker Payne's daughters visit him in the end "Daaaaaddy!" Damn.....that got me good. I also got sentimental (yes, i can get like that sometimes....wha...who called me a wuzz?..lol) when the poor guy was trying to save his boy all by himself.....not knowing what to do and screaming for someone to help.....

One major mistake I found with the flick was calling Walker Payne's dog a COLBY dog. There has been no red dogs in the Colby Family in over 100 years.

I guess I set my expectations too high after watching the preview! I expected more excitment. I can see how a lot of people would like the movie, but for me it was missing something.

 

I put it in my movie list yesterday on Blockbuster on line. I can't wait to see it. From what I saw it leans more toward a family oriented move that happens to have some dog activity in it. Hope it's good. Got the popcorn and snickers ready...

I finally saw this movie. I thought it was pretty good, and had know idea that it was set in my old stomping grounds of So. Ill.

Never so much as heard about this movie but I checked out the trailer online and bought it on DVD from eBay for a couple of bucks a few minutes ago. I love movies that take place in that time and it looks promising. I'll post my review as soon as I get a chance to watch it.

 

I loved it! I bought 2 copies. I wish it focused on the dog a little more but all in all I think it is a good movie for fathers to watch and APBT lovers to watch.
