Just asking you all to keep my son, Sean, in your prayers. He is headed for his 6th (and hopefully) final deployment. This one will be for about a year and then he'll be out. Hope the job market is better then. He wants a puppy off our female pit when he gets his own place so I have plenty of time to do my homework.

Already missing him and he still only in flight.

Rangers Lead the Way! God bless our troops!

Thanks! The dogs keep me busy and sane during this. I'm going to keep busy with them and work. Very therapeutic. I'll post pics when I have time to figure it out.

My daughters just read that and said we have to add him to our prayers. Things are getting better there, and like everyone said we'll pray for his speedy return.

He wasn't deployable since he had just returned from his last one, but he had transferred units and the one they put him in was already deploying and it made him feel like shit that he wasn't with his unit even though he doesn't even know anyone in it. So he signed a waiver allowing them to send him. Funny how a child can become the parent's role model.

That's touching, I'm sure you are very proud of him, and you have every reason to be. God bless you and your family.

I believe he is initially headed to Baghdad but I'm not sure. He has been to Afghanistan 2xs and this is his 4th time in Iraq and he is only 22 years old! When he was in a special forces unit he was all over and could never tell me where or when he was going, obviously. At least this time he can tell me which country. I think the troops are training the Iraqi forces at this point. He was glad not to be going to Afghanistan in the winter as he hates the cold.

I am very touched by the outpouring of support from the ssite members. Not many locals in our area are in the military and there is virtually no support for families. They pretend the war doesn't exist so they can go along their merry way. When I mention my concern for him all they say is 'well, he volunteered' like since he chose to do this, their harships aren't their concern. I'm not kidding, I've had several liberal yuppies say that to me! Most of my older neighbors understand what he is sacrificing though. But the economy may do that defacto since a lot more people are considering it since civilian jobs are drying up.

It sounds like you raised a great man worthy of much respect. Well done. He (and you) will definitely be in my prayers.

Please tell him some random guy from Woodstock, VA thanks him for his service!
