Does anyone have any good sites on different pics of pitbull ear croppings? I like both natural and clipped, but a pup i kept has some awful ears! the vet said bring in a picture of how i want them, and i've never had any ears clipped, anyone have any sites or pics...shorter ears, not long. thanks. i know a lot of people don't like cropped ears, but i'm not trying to start anything, just looking for some good pics. thanks so much.

Here are a few different ear cuts.I personally like the way Blue's (the light blue dog) ears are done.I have a bunch more photos of different dogs and styles I can send you if you'd like.

I like the way the light blue ears are cut too. If I was going to get them cut I would go with that style.

    Hey dev
Welcome back. Hope your trip went well. Which pup did you end up keeping? -they were so cute don't know how you decided LOL
Good luck picking a trim, I think bringing the picture to the vet is a great idea. When I had picked out my doberman pup I sent the breeder a picture of the kind of cut I wanted (I HATE jackrabbit ears even though dobie folks like it) Anyway, she had her vet crop Raja's ears exactly like the picture. good luck!

I also like the light blue ears! Kay, i'm still in florida but i ended up keeping the buckskin w/white blaze since he's very outgoing!

I like the show cut that my friend's dog Chucky has. One of my females is like this, but the other one I have real short. I guess it depends on the dogs face and body just like a person's hairstyle has to go with their feartures. I have 1 male that looks better without his ears cut. Blue's ears look nice too.

I couldn't agree more-good post. Sometimes hard to tell how a pup will look as an adult, but knowing the parents should give you a general idea.

Heres Dozer at 4 1/2, at first i thought they were too long, but i've heard people tell me that he's head will eventually get bigger. I like Blue's ear tho, nice and short. But all in all im happy with Dozers ears, the vet didnt do a good job tho cause if you look closely one is slighty cut crooked.

I realize this post is old but I thought I'd post a pic of my pups ear crop anyway.
I know alot of people frown on do it yourself ear crops but...oh well, I'm very skilled at this procedure, trained by skilled a professional.
I've done over 75 pups and I think i got it down pretty good.
This is my boy Jessie at 5mo.

Just want to remind you as to watch what you say. ;) Doing home crop jobs, regardless of skill, is considered animal cruelty in every state & is a felony in most. Plus, many states also throw in the charge of practicing a medical profession w/out a license soooo.......

  15. I like (personal preference only!) cropped ears on males and floppy on females. A 3/4 cut is best (IMO). It trims them but leaves enough for them to use as shield from rain, etc.

I agree. Though when the time came for my male to get his done, the words "You better take a picture because this is the last time you'll see those ears" changed my mind. LOL

Montano, how is it that you do your crops with no pain? If someone was cropping my ears, I can tell you now, there would be major pain. I would have PM'd you, but I can't, so you can PM me back if you want.

I like the way China's ears turned out. My male will have his shorter though.
