most pups a dog has had for u at one time

this is why i breed A bitch when she is older. they seem to have less pups. i wouldn't want more then 6-8 pups at once i tend to keep what i breed.

well she had 14 living and now she is down to 10, not sure why 4 died, but seems better on her now. i hate i lost them but i guess it wont meant to be.

 

have any pics yet? I wouldnt mind checking out a ped.. I hope u dont lose anymore as these are the critical stages..good luck

my female had 13 in one and 11 in her next.

You would be wise to take those last 2 from the mother and do the feeding and caring for them yourself (you should have the mother checked over by a vet as well) could be something she is either doing or her milk) JMO.....

 

I'm with AGK! Milk re-placer might be a good idea ? and check ma out at the vet!!, does she look okay?

I know pups die but thats a few more than 1-4 pups not making it!

 

how old are they? did you deworm them and the dam? they'll drop like flies if they have hooks. also, you may want to have dam checked for milk fever. are her teats red, swollen, or hard? hope you figure it out. please see a vet, otherwise, it may not be only the pups you lose.

 

the one female i have left is still living. she was born sunday.
everything seems to be fine with the momma dog.her teats are not hard or swollen.her milk bags are not hard, i have squeeze her tits and the milk isnt discolored.

can somebody with experience of this, maybe pm me and tell me what to look for, i mean the momma dog looks fine and acts fine, but i don't have the money to take her to the vet, i've had a female once before do it and all come out fine but i just want to know so extra stuff to look for.

 

Were all the pups well developed, did they suckle well. and did they have all their fur? Just wondering if they were premature due to the size of the litter.
