if the pups are rapidly dropping wait i'd say hooks. do they have blood in their feces? what color is it? hooks are very lethal if left untreated. is their feces solid? are you keeping them warm? or are they too hot? there are many things that could be going on. with so little info, it's just a guessing game. if i were you i'd try to find a vet that would give me credit. with puppies, you don't have days to find a cause, you have hours even minutes.

  3. their feces were solid,

i don't think i got them too hot because the heat light i had on them was about 3 foot off the ground in a building that had ways to get air in there, the momma did get out of the building a cple times the night after they were born, the temp. was 41 degrees that night.

does she perhaps have a calcium deficiency? if she becomes lethargic, take her to the vet. have you started bottle feeding that pup? if you don't have milk replacer on hand, goat's milk works well. i'd still try to find a vet that'll let you put the bill on credit. there are hundreds of things that could be going on. good luck.

JMO you shouldn't be breeding dogs if you don't have the funds to cover any unseen cost. & why get in to breeding if you dont have experienced folks around to help you out. any fool can give you advice online. you want advice stop breeding till you can handle it.

Buck it could be so many things. from what i can tell it's from lack of knowledge & bad choices. made by the handler you would think after you have 4 die time to go to the vet. this whole thread sounds like BYB stuff to me. the bitch has had over 30 pups & been bred 4 times & she is all most 4. do you really think this guy has the offspring on his yard?

  11. i got into the breed because i love the dogs, i do have experienced people , becuase i have talked to one, in fact the woman that had the sire to the pups has been breeding dogs for 30 yrs compared to my 9 years.

any fool can breed a dog for any number of years. that dont mean thay know what they are doing. do you understand what " the man behind the dogs" really means? i ain't talking down to you just because you like them dont mean start breeding them. there is a whole generation of " german shepherds " that use to be APBT. do we realy need more?

lesson learned i guess? prepare for the unexpected!! E.g. Vet bills medical care and milk replacement. Its a shame to learn the hard way!

I've "heard" of people go as far as having frozen milk in the freezer for pups do you think that's practiced much? or milk replacement being Dog formula ,or Goat formula is the easiest. but freezing Dog milk I've "heard" of before too

    Oh riiiiiight...

9 Years of breeding and you have no idea why the other 15 pups didn't make it...

9 Years of breeding and you weren't financially prepared...

9 Years of sticking 2 dogs together...

With all due respect, you don't have experience because if you did, we would be reading about how good the new pups are doing. Instead, we are reading that they are dead, and what's even more disturbing to me is that you never once posted about taking the mom or the remaining pups to the vet.

You opened yourself up for a good bashing after #1.) telling everyone you bred a dog but didn't have the funds to take care of the mother or the pups if something went wrong #2) lost a whole litter of pups and still haven't seen a vet, and #3) breeding dogs while being clueless as to what needs done when stuff like this happens.........
So you've been peddling dogs for 9 years....hows that working out for you...
