Well Let's not forget or if you don't know. Marty has worked his ass off networking and trying to promote responsible ownership it does not matter if it is the bully or APBT owner he reaches. simply we are all aflicted and threatend every day by BSL or profiled by the communities that we live in.

I tried to listen to the show, I listened for about an hour and that was all I could take. I never once heard what a bully is. If the bloodline doesn't make it a bully what does? It doesn't make a lot of sense. They said if you have a litter of pups there may be only 1 am bully in the whole litter? :confused: WTF? I am more lost now than I was before listening.

 

All I can do is try :confused:

bunch of effing retards i tried to listen as well ....... these people are STUPID ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, They sat GAMEDOG like they have a clue .... the guy talks as if he has a lot kowledge but anyone that knows dogs can weed thru his BS ,,,,,breeding trash whats funny is they really think that them dogs will keep them high ass prices ,,, just like you used to see blue dogs for a $1000 and now you can get them for 50 the same will happen to those "abkc " because they are breeding the shit out of the blue pigs

Sorry for the delayed response. I have no problem clarifying what I said.

The AmBully is in it's infancy in regards to being a breed. That being said the true essence of a breed in regards to show is breed type. Breed Type, meaning it looks like what it's supposed to. Because of poor breeding practices and a number of breeders thinking they can add any big AmStaff or UKC dog to a breeding program you get a variety of type in a litter. Dogs that do not have the bone, substance or girth desired in the AmBully, by it's enthusiasts.

Do you get a gamebred APBT? Hell No!!! Do you get dogs that resemble more of a UKC style show dog yes. The key to breeding to have a new breed or even a line is consistency, that means the ones who are not strong in breed type need to be removed from the program. If the pup does not look like an AmBully don't register it as such, don't register it as a APBT either, Spay and Nueter and pet the dig out, if you are against the bucket.

Consistency is important in any breeding program, game dogs the same can be said, the difference is looks meant nothing, the trait was not appearance based, if a dog would quit it was culled, as it should be.

I don't own a AmBully, don't sell them or peddle them, I make money the old fashion way I work for it. When speaking on AmBullies, I care less about paperwork than what it actually looks like. It needs to look the part.

Now with an APBT, I could care less about what the paper says than what it acts like. You can have a Vette but if you have a Kia engine, then guess what you don't have a APBT. So what your dog looks like means little to me if you really want to talk dogs.

As far as bloodlines, the point I was trying to make is the RE dog started as a AmStaff/ Pit cross. Some breeders of the line stayed that course, they despise AmBullies, but their dogs are RE. Are they gamebred? Hell No! But they are not AmBullies.

Breeders of this new breed need to breed the best represenatives of the breed. Whether I like the breed or not is irrelevant, any breeder of any breed should do the same. The purpose of the breed was not discussed.

But if you get dogs bred for looks and they all have no consistency in looks, then they are garbage.

If you breed dogs and you breed for performance, and they all have no heart or will to perform you have garbage.

Once again, my statement on what you get in a litter, varies because of possible mixes and not breeding to stick that consistently passes down type. People in my opinion need to stop breeding dogs just for money, but for the advancement of their giving breed.

I would never hang up on someone for their opinion, state it debate it and we can disagree. I'm not a Internet warrior and I will tell the AmBully crowd if they are trying to truly create and maintain a new breed then do it the right way, breed AmBullies stop registering them as even UKC APBTs and stand behind your registry the ABKC.

Some of the dogmen I talk to don't register their dogs period. They know what they have and I know what I'm looking at.

My comments on my UKC GRCH was based off of comments made that he was a Bully, a comment made by someone who has been told that all UKC dogs are AmBullies. The dog in question is a pitterstaff, not a gamedog, but definitely not a AmBully.

So what makes a AmBully? First structural breed type, it needs to have the structure of the standard. It needs to say AmBully without a doubt when someone looks at it, not a pit cross, not a Mastiff, not a English Bulldog, but AmBully.

Performance in regards to the AmBully means nothing because it was not bred for it. Why would I critique dalmations on their tracking ability they were not bred for it, or a English Bulldog on working ability. Not in it's breed type to me.

Now an APBT, that's different, but I really would not care about what a APBT could do in agility or obedience or even Schutzhund, hog catching you have my opinion but game stick will always be judged on testing. I could care less what it looks like.

As far as what I know, it is what it is. I am always open to learn and I will make sure that tommorow night I make sure people don't think I was saying AmBully to AmBully makes gamebred.

Just that in the beginning of breed development only the best examples of the breed should be kept in the gene pool.

The same can be said of preserving the TRUE APBT, only the best of the best should be bred. Making excuses to breed mediocre dogs is poor breeding practice.

I know most will read this and say Hell the AmBully should never been created in the first place, I think the same of my neighbors Pomeranians, but he'll if she is going to have them have the best.
