My ukc champion was shot 5 times by undercover cop

  1. Yep, if you don't want your dogs to be shot, whether friendly or not.. keep them contained and under control at all times. That is just part of being a responsible pet-owner.

altho it sucks for the family, dog should have been properly restrained especially being a apbt.

I figured there was more to this story.... 30 complaints in 3 years? Sounds like their dogs shouldve been taken away from them years ago. I dont care if theyre show dogs or not. That doesnt mean they are safe, nor does it mean their owners can contain them.

I love how the press blames the owner "30 complaints in 3 years". Even if it's true what was the cop doing at the house in the first place? Where they called that day to the house? The cops can kill an innocent person walking down the street and the press along with the pigs will make the person out to be the bad guy. You can't win for losing in our moden day police state.
And on the other hand we do have to be responsible owners. If I didn't have to take my dog out to release, my neighbors wouldn't even know I had a dog.

There are 3 sides to every story I don't think anyone that wasn't there will know the true story. I also think it goes far farther than just this indecent.

I will be one of the first ones to bash a cop for fucking up. In this situation I think it was just as much the owners fault as it was anyone else.

Most leash laws that I have looked up read pretty much the same. If the dog isn't under your control, either in a house, in a fenced yard, or on a leash then you are in the wrong and breaking the law if you have leash laws. Not only that it is common sense to keep your dog secure and out of harms way.

Should the cop have shot the dog, I don't know I wasn't there (I might have done the same thing if the dog came out the door while I was walking by with my family. I also might have seen the dog just wanted to play. I wasn't there.) but it was just as much the owners fault.

regardless of if they were responsible and did everything that they could to protect themselves and their dogs they were still victims according to both versions of the story i read and they cops were in the wrong. I put my dogs away everytime i answer the door or if someone is over but the point is that i shouldnt have to. I do it to avoid conflict but you have rights especially on your property! I dont know what i would've done, man that could not of been me...

I'm sorry this happened to this family, but I'm happy it wasn't me I would have taken the policeman's gun from him and shot him with it to show him how those bullets feel. In the words of N.W.A. "F**K THE POLICE".
