Starke Man Charged with Dogfighting

Police in Starke broke up a dogfighting ring while conducting a drug task force investigation. Police served 19-year-old Luise Enrique Martinez a warrant on Friday fiding 176 grams of marijuana and 19 dogs chained in the back yard. The dogs were underfed and appeared to have scars consitent with dog fighting. Some of the more agressive dogs had to be euthanized while some of the younger dogs may be put up for adoption. Martinez is charged with fighting animals and the possesion of marijuana.He was released Sunday on a $75,000 bail.

I hope every gram was in an individual bag and he gets some good hard time, for fighting the dogs (if that was the case). I'll never understand how people do that to animals.. .my dogs just like a family member. I hope the dogs end up in a good healthy enviroment like they deserve.
