"Not to discredit the dogs or the owner" but I don't consider any of those to be o.stevens bred dogs, yea red ape was owned by ozzie but he in himself is from a completely different yard and strain of dogs. The other breedings/dogs listed just have a touch of o.stevens original stock of which his name is known for. Patty cakes is the only o.stevens family bred dog listed there with a redboy out.

 

Looks like some good battle-cross breeding's minus the mogden david x patty cakes breeding which is a line breeding with the redboy out....looks good, I'd like to see what they bring to the table.

No offense meant to be taken, just depends on how you read it or how I read it in this case. I have the same stuff just a different way.

 

I was lucky to see Virgil in action and yes he was a super hard biting dog the kind that would kill your dog in short order . Ozzie sold him after his last to Solo he was the S in STP I breed a tight Booger bitch to him . And she whelped six pups two witch turned out to be match dogs . I also saw two of his offspring go that were very good dogs Yankee boys Ch Brenda and Lennys CH Beast . Brenda had Virgils mouth and beast was also a hard bitter . I know that Solo had frozen sperm from Virgil Also Gee man had great success when he crossed His Ch Booger ROM blood into Virgil himself also I know a few paid forfeit to Ozzie when they found out they were matched in to GR CH Virgil that should tell you what dog men thought of him . :eek:

Does anyone know if he ever was crossed to a earl/earl jr. bitch? Would've loved to see some dogs of him and cocoa. Cross i back to homer and some chinaman in that...

 

Don't know if there was a specific cross to any earl jr bred dogs but I do know of a o.stevens virgil/chinaman/snooty cross that produced a Gr Ch out my way....virgil himself is homer x bubbles...bubbles is primarily eli/carver...goes back to some of the same dogs as the earl and earl jr dogs.

I saw a son of Virgil's called Virgilson and he was a big 54 pound killer,a hard biter that Ken Allen had that was pretty good.Yankee Boys loved Ozzie's stuff.

I believe the OS Virgil dogs crossed with Gamblers GR CH Virgil blood is also good dogs.

 

I think the big hangers belong to Gmblers Virgil not O'stevens
