eli,red boy,bolio & zebo are all theyre own bloodlines now though, i mean if you look at it from that angle then MOST APBT's are eventually Colby dogs or whoever else was doin it back then.

and I DONT PERSONALLY know of any colby dogs that are tested and bred selectively, hell i dont even know anybody PERSONALY that has colby dogs anymore, but think about all the men with "working" yards. you dont think any of them a running colby blood?
and i agree THE MAJORITY prolly arent bein tested, but they still gotta be out there.

 

Thats my point, Frisco is a line now. Saying he's just a dog would be like saying any of the previously mentioned lines are just dogs.

Thats what I was getting at... The question was best/worst line. Using one of your worst examples: Zebo is actually ROM so he produced some winners but the majority was lack luster. Sure there are some ace Zebo dogs but lines are represented by the majority.

Same with the Colby dogs. I'm sure there are people running this line right but the majority of the line isn't what it used to be. (I'm assuming)

There are whole threads on the Colby debate. So I won't start a new one. If you get a PURE Cobly dog right now It would not be able to compete in the fast lane.

 

Colby dogs can and do perform very well. You just need to where to find them. Like any other line, the breeder is an important part of the dog. The fact is that pure Colby dogs are very rare. Redboy/Jocko, Eli, etc are easier to find and the same caveat applies - know the breeder and what he breeds for. Just because they are rare doesn't mean that they do not exist. A good one can do it all. Are some people breeding them solely because of the name? Absolutely - just like pure Eli, pure Patrick, pure Mayday, pure anything and everything. Do your homework with the Colby line just like you would do with every other line. Seek and thou shalt find.

im not doubting there is, i was just playing along with this rediculous thread for shits and giggles. i already mad it very clear that there is no such thing as a best and worst bloodline because there are plenty bulldogs and plenty currs of every bloodline. BUT they insisted that we mention one and OFRN is what came to mind. sure there are some working dogs out there that consist of that blood, im sure theres a lot,
but ill guarantee you theres a lot more out there being shown in the Conf. or other "show" rings and even more that are peddled based on the name & pretty papers, than there are being tested for the [].
hence the reason i chose that family, it wasnt to bash you or your yard. just opinion.
