Well its this generations duty to improve on the game dogs as prior generations have done. If not the game dogs will become extinct. With the availability of knowledge and extremely hard work it can be done.I do wish everyone the best in their quest. Its this generation's time, mine is past . I do enjoy reading the post on here.It reminds me when I was young and had the fever.

all the new come from the old but to be complete and able to go the all around distance the dog must first have gameness then endurance next ability then comes mouth couple that with pedigree now where rounding off the complete dog old or new its really preference based thats the great thing about the game mouth is popular these days but gameness over rules mouth period

There will always be freaks who would win in any era but the idea is to improve each generation so if our dogs didn't destroy the dogs of old that means we failed

Between those 2, Lebron and Mike, it would come down to attitude, mental toughness, will to win. Both were, are, the premier athlete of their sport and time. Physically Lebron has the edge. We know who has the mental edge...... Sound familiar? Fast-lane, creme de la creme

Lol man that's about the craziest shit I've heard!!! If everyone listens to you then we will just end of with scatterbred not worth a shit dogs..... Crosses are good but without pure you can't have a cross... And you can inbred and linebred for more than one trait or quality

anyone has other opinions and calling other opinions "shit" its not sportsman like

i prefer combat crosses and if it "clicked" breeding back to the family of the top or the bottom, or both and test was better works for you.

other people doing inbreeding until the have a 3 offspring litter with lack of all and looks like et, one surive and they do outcross this blood with another.

    all can throw good bulldogs.
    anyone has his choices.

  9. Todays fast lane dogs are bred to bite their opponent down quickly,BUT, if that fast lane dog doesn't get the job done, and hits the wall as most fast lane dogs do. The OLD school dogs that have the BALANCE of Gameness/ and BITE rise to the top like cream. PS I"ll take the old school dog everytime

This reminds me alot like boxing, old school boxers VS new school boxers, can Tyson hang with Ali, can this boxer beat that boxer, every era has its greats, sure the new guys are more athletic and are in better shape but do they have the Heart like the old boxers.

"Hits the wall as most fast lane dogs do"....really? So you wouldn't call "old school blood" fast lane? Were they racing with golf carts back then? Cant they be one in the same?....

the only difference i see in dogs from today and dogs from 80s & 90s is consistency. If the line or camp had dogs that bit hard, then all the dogs bit hard, if they were just rugged game with stamina, then all of them were. Litter after litter until the crosses were made. Now days, folks have no idea what they will get. 2 might bite then some others dont bite. none are game or whatever.

Today dogs compete as did the dogs of yesteryear. Money is put on the line so both camps are under pressure to achieve. $10k ain't chicken feed...... It boils down to the level of comp nowadays. Dogs in Europe, S.America, Philippines are at a higher level as they throw down more often. Tight dogs might produce gameplugs but crooses and loose line bred dogs win more. The only difference is today's dogs use higher levels of nutrition and steroids.
