If I remember right that add was in the 1992 issue with a male dog on the cover facing to your right. There was a man and woman in the picture. Man was holding the dog and the woman was holding the trophy. I'm sure it is the spring issue of 1992. The dog was red nose with cropped ears.

Also in the following issues, after the letter was wrote about 'Duster" still being alive and Red Satan was suppose to be his brother,

In the add was 2 litters for sale.
One was off Norrod's Hemphill Satan and Norrod's Hemphill Squaw.
Second one was off Norrod's Red Devil (off Iron Tony 1xw and Norrod's Iron Red Ruby) and Norrod's Red Ronda (off Ch. Iron Bear and Norrod's Hemphill Babe 2xw).
Oh that's right, everyone already knew all the breeding of Babe and her sister Trudy because Gino N. claims he has a letter of all the pups bred off them! ROTFLMMFAO!

It is amazing how history changes to suit people's needs to add validity to their claims. Funny part is when some one pulls out written documentation from decades before to show how it really was from the people who owned them, bred them like Hemphill, Wilder, Norrod, etc.
I guess the written word is a good source of proof when you have a vast collection as Ironline Kennels' Library!

Just think how much more history could have been obtain if I.K.'s interest was as much for magazines as it was for books...........

Old Family Reds was a foundation breed of the APBT and the Old Family Red Nose is a strain within the breed of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
All OFRN has black nose in their pedigree or they would still be the breed of the Irish Old Family Red fighting dogs.......

Because it is a strain there will be variances of shades of the color red (light red, dark red, silver red, etc.), markings of brindle and white.

But most of all from these writings, information can finally be put to rest of the wild myth that OFRN only stands for "One Bloodline" (as stated) "Hemphill and Wallace didn't have the corner on anything."
Some day people will understand about the reference,
"OFRN is a strain, not a bloodline!"

1. Smash was a very healthy dog as shown in the pictures on I.K. site, no skin problems.
2. His litter mate brother was a grand champion.
3. Jerome never owned him, C.S. did, that is why it was called a "Team".
4. Jerome wasn't the breeder of Ch. Smash, C.S. was. Panther came from the last person who owned Gr. Ch. Queen of Hearts (G.W.).
5. Jerome has never stated anything about the dog.
BTW idiot, his name was Smash not Crash! This is how we know you never talked to him...

There has never been no doubt the dog was a champion.
From those pictures, as like Red Devil, you can't tell what has or hasn't been done.
To many people know he was the real deal.:p

I rarely post but having owned a dog bred by IM for about 5 years now, I thought I'd say something. She is great with strangers, even the one's who have no clue on how to approach a dog properly. She is great with children even when they scream and run up to her (they just get a wet kiss right on the nose). She is great with physically and mentally handicapped. She is great with the elderly, including our neighbors in their 90's. And she is a beautiful well built dog and an intelligent attentive pet. She is protective but not stupid about it. I am just a pet owner so what do I know.

I would not leave her nor any other dog alone with a child, period. I would never leave her alone unsupervised with another dog. I told IM what I wanted and he delivered. She was a very slow maturing dog so it took a little while for the entire personality to come through, but it was well worth the wait.

History of Ch. Smash,his first show Curt was so excited of winning when told to face the dogs he released him then and they fouled the handler out and screwed Smash out of the win.Ch. Smash went on to win 3 more.In his championship show he lost all his tools.I tried to get Curt to send me the dog because K.G. told me could get caps put on his teeth as he did with Ch. Timex..The owner wouldn't do that. He got an offer to go back into the same guys.I tried to tell him not too because they already knew Smash no longer had his tools.I also told Curt it is a rule never to show the same dog twice into the same people because they knew how to win over your dog.They sure did and with a hard mouth cur.Smash best years were now behind him and I believe he was now over 6 years old. When they got a handle Smash collapse and died in the [] between Curt's legs.From the litter Smash also has a 5xw brother and other 1 & 2 winners litter mates. Smash as double cross and produced a champion daughter.I was never a big fan of breeding dogs until you were done showing them. I guess I'm old school on this as C2K referred too.Smash was open to the world and collect some forfeits.

IMO of what I saw of the turning, growling and snapping.But you know what, that is then, this now.I have dogs down from Ch. Iron Bocat 8xw.Now anyone thinks this refects bad on him........show me.

 

We still use this blood in Mexico. A friend had the Bimbo dog and blood that's in Europe is something else, I mean scary killers. It's crossed with Eli and Stu-Fowler down here, seems to make the Eli dogs more complete and give them that edge and smarts. None of ours are man biters, all good bulldogs and gentle with children. We use a relative to Yugo for an out with some of our tight Eli dogs, it works consistantly.
