Do dogs with undershots work?

An old time dogman I knew had dogs that would show a underbite. He would not sell one as a match dog, but said they were some of the crazyest dogs he ever had. He said they were the type to eat whatever they caught.

 

Ive seen plenty of undershot dogs with enough mouth to support their body weight, but the problem is that if they were required to use their fronts they will loose them much quicker than a dog with a scisor bite.

I have an undershot American Bulldog.
He's a Certified Service Dog.
He packs saddle bags.
He carries things in his mouth.
He helped me carry a bunch of bananas that weighed about 50 pounds, for over a mile.
He picks up things that I drop.
He can pick up a dollar, but he can't pick up change.

 

Lycan's 4xW SKY has a bad undershot but he sure bites like hell.

 

know and have seen super hard biting undershot 's
have my doubt's about shows who are les then a half hour ...
it normaly means that the other dog ..was not not good from start.....
to many people are leaving to much of there dog at home ..when they go to show ...best ones are around the hour

the alligator dogs throw a lot of undershot dogs some more undershot than others and a lot of people consider the alligator dogs as hard mouth punishers ....

 

Alot of people dont much consider the Alligator a line anymore i mean come on your talkin about a dog that was around in the late 60's i would think you would be hard pressed to find Plumbers's Ch. Alligator in a six gerneration ped let alone a 4??????
