training my pit

  1. I got a 2 year old blue brindle pit, gr.ch/ purple ribbon, 65lbs. I trained him a little bit since he was young. He listen when i say "sit" "down" and "come here" ... He is a good dog andnever show agression (not really actl.) sometime he just hardheaded and don't listen. .. how can i tain him that he listen at anytime to my comands???

    And plus, i got a treadmil and i try to get him on it. he will go on it and he stand there but soon as i trun the treatmil on he, don't move,.. he's kind of scared of thing that he don't know. so how can i train him to actl. walk on the treatmill ???

    i dont have a treadmill but he will prob get used to it after a little while once he gets used to the thing.

    Put something in front of the mill that he likes and would like to catch such as his favorite ball or treats.
     
  4. I have a very hard headed one my self at 4 years old. He never listens unless he is on a leash then he is the best dog ever.

    If you want him to listen you have to make it worth his while. Lots of daily obedience practice with much praise and high value rewards.

    Most Definetly Surely He Has A Favorite Toy! Only Let Him Have It When He Performs A Command Correctly And Promptly Let Him Play Foe A Minute Then Take It Away And Try Another
