Besides Cod Liver Oil, are there any other supplements I should add to my pups diet?

Scratch the cod liver oil and give salmon oil, flax seed oil or wheat germ oil
or a Stress Tab with Vit E and Zinc added!

I personally just feed Nupro.

The vet gave me some puppy vitamins too, she said that the cod liver oil is good for their coats (Jace had a little issue with his fur becoming patchy, but its better now). Is there any difference between pet supplements and the human versions? I noticed that for the pet version of cod liver oil, its like $20 for a bottle, whereas I can go to CVS and pick up a big bottle of cod liver oil pills for $5. Would it be ok to give him the pills versus the expensive pet version?

 

I've got fish oil for my 5month old, but im not too sure how much to give, as a human takes one or two a day pups only teeny, so how much do you guys recomend and how often? the drops are about {...........} yay big (is that stupid i just typed that haha)

 

You can use the human fish oil supplements for dogs, just modify the dosage accordingly.

 

Lot's of different supplements you can give your dog, depends what you're trying to accomplish or just add to his diet.

I give mine salmon oil gel tabs and Bee pollen with their feed.

There's also people here that believe as long as you give them a good quality feed you don't need additional supplements, so don't feel bad if that's all you give them.

 

I've used dog bloom a while back,dogs did good on it.But with a pup just a good guality food is fine.

If you feed a good quality feed, then you should be fine. I did give my pup a qtr of 1 flinstone vitamin. But to this day, I still give them a daily vitamin, in case I'm missing something cause I feed raw and kibble.

 

how often should you give any of the mentioned oils? I just recently began to add flax seed oil to my girl's diet but is everyday fine?

 

What about the bully max pills? Does it work, and if so, what is it good for?
