Heres basically the plywood and tarp idea. Works and wont break your wallet.

If you need something "prettier" here is another cool alternative.

Make the box, then line it with fiberglass to keep the water in. you could cut out the sides if you want to get a view of the dogs kicking or whatever. and you could use a high quality plywood and/or paint/treat it to give it a cleaner/finished look.

I have a pond directly across the street from the house. A long homemade lead, and the pond work well.

got the trough, now im not sure if i need to use a 2X4 or if a chain would be okay to attach to the harness. Also am unsure high high i should elevate the dog if at all. Any help would be appreciate, i'll keep everyone up to date on how it works out

yea i have a pretty serious pond pump that pumps 2,900 gallons per hour, but i still feel that woulldnt help shit, i need that damn pump they use on the lazy river @ the water parks! more like 100,000 gph lol

thing is i would love to build one like this, and theyre pretty damn easy and cheap for the most part.
but i wont waste my time on it unless i can add current.

i gotta pool here that they swim in quite a bit.
