I think both, but mainly nature, I just think those dogs felt like they were the baddest most dominant thing on the planet, and I agree with them. :D

When you read the handler's storys of some of the so-called man-biters its where the dog has bitten out of frustration to get on with the match rather than just bitten because he's a man-biter.Look how a boxer push's his cornermen away when a fights stopped and he's being held back. Yes there are nut-nuts that just bite because they want to and get real, these dogs should be put to sleep regardless of abilty. Like the story of the ELI dog,my boss had a dog out of Reids- Skipper x Beutee,CH Scotsmans Max's litter brother who i'd walk every day, fuss everytime i went to the van for tools. On the way home from work the dog could sense we when we got near my house and started to get frenzied. When we stopped he would mouth me hard and try to hold me.When i'd manage to get out he'd try to nip me.Not a man-biter though. Its this passion we love in the breed. All in a days work!Maybe i should have rubbed his nuts?

A few things to consider: How would you match a dog that was as bad as described? The other handler would have to wash your dog, right? If your dog bites someone mid-match, you lose, right? Why bother matching a dog that could lose your money for you at any time? Why go into a dog that might bite you? Handling a manbiter is hard enough, why let him go with people all around, and hope he goes for the other dog? You'd have to have such a crazy set of rules to match a dog like this, you'd never find a taker. It's much more likely that these dogs were just excitable and would bite you to get at the other dog. Dogs like this just need to be handled carefully.

Just my opinion, probably won't be popular, but both these dogs should never have been bred if they were this bad. Would the game be different without them? Sure, but it might be better. What did Zebo ever produce? Bullyson was controversial for other reasons, which made him even more popular. If Bullyson was never bred, some other dogs would have been just as popular, and who knows what they could have produced? Ah, the things that keep me up at night.
