Thoughts of these dogs with the internet

the internet will be known as the final nail in the coffin.
society, as a whole, is a mess.
there is a reason i have been making plans for the future-there will come a day, not so far away, in the very near future that i will simply say goodbye. gone, off the grid. you might see me at a conformation show-but that will prety much be it.

I have that dream also. To bad for me it will not happen anytime soon. I have a single 52 year old mother that would be a wreak if i was to move to far away. Being i am 33 and her 52 i have many years before i can find my way to the woods and never look back. Good luck to you though and enjoy!!!!

the internet isn't what did these dogs in. its the people who ran their mouths way before the internet became popular, the www is just another vehicle to spread word. ask any of the old, old timers, they saw the writing on the wall back in the 70s/80s when bulldogs became popular and were shoved in the general publics face. the popularity of the breed is what did it in, everyone wanted one but few could handle them responsibly.

I think what's hurting the game is the people doing dog's for these huge purses.To much ego and not anough love for the dog's,they lost the love for the breed.Not all but many.Dog's looked at as a commodity,and left down to long because of ego and money.Back in the day a kid befriended us for a while to get a dog from us,we told him all the right thing's about these dog's trying to teach him,gave him a good one and the next week he triple dog's him and the dog died, never seen him again.

 

for me, its less than 6 months away. im looking at a couple properties this weekend after work. 4 miles from electricity-and none is coming, land is bordered by 985 acres of state forest, a gulf, one road in, one road out. getting all the proverbial ducks in a row right now. the misses was apprehensive at first, but has done some research and realizes it wont be that bad. (she has her own house anyhow)

 

One thing is for sure if people would stop bragging and running their mouths online or in public the dogs would be better off...

 

Man you have it made.. the misses has a place of her own!! How much does something like that run down in those parts. Up north not only would it be a bit expensive still but the cold would make it real hard completely off the grid. I would rather do something like this in a mild climate.

 

i honest;y think i would need electricity lol.... i like my football on the weekends.... heat would be nice also on cold nights.... but when you do make your move rally, goodluck my man and have fun.... you are keeping the dogs, correct?

 

rally life will be better for sure, congrads on that. I was city boy my whole life, 6 months ago started living in the country and now you can't get me to go to the city for nothing. When I go to the city, I feel frustrated and start to get anxiety when driving. I never thought the green acres of the country was for me and now I would never trade it for the world. My wife and kids are happier, I am too and so are the dogs definitely. All of my dogs have ran with no leash several times in the last couple of months. In the city, never had a dog off a leash ever and now I don't have to lie everyday that I own APBT, because now no one cares or pays attention, it is just a dog in the country and not one of those killer pitbulls like in the city!
