Boudeaux Dogs

What would you say that the Boudreaux Bloodline weaknesses are if any.I have noticed that the Boudreaux bloodline is one of the most used and seems to be sought after lines out right now. Especially here in Louisiana. Just looking for some feedback here.

 

Too good. Won't ever be able to find competition.

Kinda been getting that feeling. Actually been looking for some pure eli dogs does anyone that has that type of stock.

Evreyone has an Eli dog around here in cajun country and i mean everyone

 

So I noticed trying to start my line breeding through Reno if I can find some more tight Reno pups here soon!

 

what part ofLA you from?

 

North La. about and hour from shreveport hour and a half from alexandria.

 

My View of most of the Boudeaux bred dogs are they have nice think strong bones, crunch harder than most and quit more often than most. I think Eli dogs are in general great for the soup, but you need more ingredients in your recipe to be consistently successful.

eli dogs are a good start and cross with anything i would deff have some on the yard at all times. and as far as them quiting more often i believe dogs are individuals and any thing from any strain,family,bloodline,cross or whatever has what you call quitters. and the reason you could say that is cause thier are enough eli dogs in la and tx alone to wrap around the world end to end so the percentage of "quitters'' would rise as would the non quitters. but i agree you do need more in the pot

Without a doubt!!...in just saying in general when talking about Boudreaux ur talking about Eli now days

 

+1^^^ but would add that some people don't give them enough time to grow up...they can fool ya, some can have alot of fire at a young age but were still puppies at heart, but they make good foundation blood if bred tight enough.

I am actually getting a really well bred Boudeaux dog December, but the only bad (i have heard about) is sometimes they are prone to shyness if not socialized well.
