Damn near 80 degrees today and right now its 63. First day of winter. We're still fighting skeeters and fire ants. In answer to the OP though, It seems to me that I'm able to get a dog in better cardio condition when it's cool and crisp.

Lmao!!..shit just lovely!!...I love da south!!

  5. they use 50 percent more calories to stay warm in winter wile conditioning their bodies work harder cuz it has to stay warm and work and they wont overheat or tire as quick

  6. my fone wont let me edit tht and posted it prematurely...but they get more of a workout tht way and their bodies flood their muscles with more blood for warmth and more bloodflow promotes better muscle growth

Winter is the best time to condition & hunt for my top bitch , she seems to run just a little hot in warmer weather , i try'd many different supplements ect ect . i think alot of bulldogs would & could do better when hunting in winter.

Your right & yes you do some thing different in the winter for conditioning. providing them warm housing is one thing. when dogs get cold and shiver they burn calories & can drop weight & muscle mass fast. their is secretes to the success.

  11. Because I'm sick of slipping and busting my ass on the layer of ice under all the snow. I value my tail bone.

Damn dog sleeps in my bed all day anyway and wants nothing to do with the outdoors. And I prefer working with her in warmer weather, especially summer nights.
