    BIG BLUE Pup

Just joined and thought I would post a pic and introduce myself. I live in the Nashville area. This is my first APBT but I have had several sport dogs. Grew up around Boxers and have had 2 of them myself, also had an American Bulldog/ Pit mix. My boy "Blue" is 10 months old. He is 75lbs right now and is just a great dog. He is mischievous and wants to grab the kids toys and will chew up anything if not supervised, lol. Other than that he is a great listener and is awesome with my children and my mini female daschand. I have had him since he was 3 months old and really enjoy him. We walk every day and tug of war is his favorite game. I hope to learn some around here and see other APBT pics and info.

    hello
i hope you enjoy your dog and both of you have lot's of fun.
now about this forum, most don't like blue pits, most like gamebred and working apbt's.
this being said, don't take negative post seriously, "each one his own".

    take care

I never thought big was better, just that seems to be his nickname anytime people come to the house.

    Thanks for clarifying.
Actually he was rescued from a bad situation as a pup so I do not have papers on him. The vet always called him a Blue Bully, but I just assumed he was a American Pit Bull. I didnt realize there was a difference.
I will edit my first post so maybe I dont get flamed too bad, LOL.
Sorry if this is the wrong board for me.

    about ambullies
let's say that its marketing, agressive marketing

money, cars, hot chicks...size, head size, color...bla bla..just marketing
they dont care about dogs, just what dogs bring to the table, money and fame.
some dogs have very bad health problems but are still bred and sold..

you can either be one of them ...or better than them

stick around a bit, learn a bit about the real apbt, i dont think that it cannot hurt you

There is some really good info on this forum worth sticking round for. I love your dogs ears first time I think Ive seen one not cropped (or noticed). Did he get hold of your umbrella? lol

  14. Stick around. The board is for anybody with any bully breed who wants to learn. You seem to have an open mind and are responsive to the truth, so there will be a wealth of knowledge here for you to learn.

As others have said, he isn't a pure bred APBT. Once you educate yourself and learn about the real APBT, you will be able to clearly see the difference. ;)

    Welcome to the forum.

Members please don't be an ass and run the guy off. He seems like he has a good attitude and can be educated, which is what the site is for.

    THANKS!

so true, i think its the first person who didnt get crazy defensive when educated on the breed he owns.

Sounds like you will do well around here man, just read read read, maybe you will want to own a APBT one day.

Good luck with youre dog . Stick around. Lots to learn. He is not a true APBT but a good dog is a good dog as long as he makes ya happy and you understand the difference.

Thanks guys for the welcome! I have had him since he was little and never even thought to even really look at forums online. Glad I did so I dont look like a dumbass telling people he is a full blooded APBT when he runs around with me. But everywhere we go people say "thats a huge Pit Bull" especially when they find out he is not even a year old yet. haha Oh well, ya learn something ever day I guess.

Yeah was taking a picture through the window and I ask what he was doing. When she said he was on the glass table I almost shit! He done pulled a chair out, climbed up there, chewed the damn umbrella up and layed there like he owned the place. Scared me to death, I thought the glass was gonna break. Made for a good pic though.

His ears are funny, no way I could crop them. They have always looked like that. One normally lays down but when they both stand up he might fly away.
