Can anyone name me some good kennels that breed black Pit Bulls? I like black, and I am looking for a dog that can be a great companion guard dog.

Well guys, I don't mean to be trolling or anything, but really, I'm new to Pit Bulls. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. The reason I posted in two forums is because I want as much info as I can. Also, I have heard from many people from a lot of places, that Pit Bulls can be companion guard dogs, as in, dogs that live with you, go everywhere with you, be your best friend, and can guard you, as well as you keeping him safe also. Maybe I am defining 'guard dog' the wrong way, but I just don't see what is wrong with that. If you say, Pit Bulls are not capable of doing that, then thank you for your information. Your info is a part of my learning. Again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

These dogs are not meant to be guard dogs, it pisses me off everytime i read a post by some dumbass who wants to use one as a guard dog or for "protection". If you are so pussified that you can't protect yourself then get a fucking gun!

I totally agree with everyone else do not get a pit bull as a guard dog it's just another story on the news of a "pitbull or pitbull type" dog biting someone no matter if he was protecting or not get a guardian breed if that is what you want like a GSD

:) A gun doesn't have a life mate. It's not the same. And what's wrong with having a dog for protection? Say you have a good lil brother, do you have the instinct to 'guard' or 'protect' him? And would it be strange if he 'guards' you or 'protect' you? Maybe you can speak to me with proper manners mate. I've talked with manners all along. I said sorry if I offended anyone. I mean, people are saying, do some research, or this breed or that breed suits you. I thank them, for teaching me, but you, you feel fucking strong calling me a fucking dumb ass or what mate? I suggest you respect other people, especially when you don't even know who they are.

    agree with most

    1. the apbt is not ment as a guard dog.
    2. your protection causes the breed to have a bad name. what do you think that will be in the newspapers. dog saved his owner? no, another pitbull atack.

    Cracking dog.
I had a black GSD bitch a few years back, smartest dog I ever owned, one of my best dogs ever.

  19. I don't see why the APBT is a trend anymore, everyone has one now days then they say he is so sweet with people. What APBT shouldn't be sweet to people? If I wanted protection why not buy the best protection dog possible which is pictured here. If I had some to protect my family it would GSP and nothing else except the regional variations of it. This is why these dogs go from $1000 - $90,000 (highest I have seen) these dogs mean business and some black cur ass pit bull ain't going to do the trick. When people say I have a pit bull for protection I laugh because 80% of pit bulls will show the family jewels and eat right out of a stranger's hand. Natural instincts of the APBT could protect because they are so loyal but still a GSP has been bred into protection for ohhhhhhhhh mmmmmmmmmm for over an 100 years at least with established lines / kennels!

Just for fun check out these dogs and price - several in the 65K range, damn!

those are some pretty ridiculous prices on those dogs you can get really good ones for a hell of a lot cheaper though a good protection dog is worth good money i don't think they are worth in the 20 thousand and up range
