The love for money or status is "the kill" to every breed... History has learned so...

if you really love the breed you try to improve it.
Not only only by breeding good dogs, but also be responsible to who you sell to.

These dogs are not for people who only knows them from TV and buy them only to impress or increase their streetcredibility.
I think a good breeder is breeding for his own stock and farms out or sell to people who are familiar with the breed and their history only.

The public opinion towards the breed has changed sadfully...
Every fart of a pit bull like dog is being reported on the news, and the humaniacs are on a daily hunt on the so called "dogfighters".
To protect the future of the breed people/breeders should be cautious to whom they sell to... Just to avoid further bad publicity.

since 95 %(maybe more) of the breeding's done are pure for money, this will never happen. they will never take responsibility. breeding in overall should be limited somehow so that the prices can go up and the breeders will actually HAVE people to choose from.

  7. I don't have a problem with a dogman selling his stock. God knows that nowadays a dollar doesn't stretch nearly as far as it used to. It is a buyer beware market with these hounds and you are the one that is not in the know. But, the problem with this idea is that they used to sell them to people that should not own a pet rock much less a living, breathing thing.

The problem I've had with this concept is that the gang banger/rock slinger has an affinity for this breed. They decide that they are dog man and that opens up a whole can of worms. That is my problem with the supposed top tier dogman of the past.

Well wat do u thing the old-timers were??...alot of the great dogmen were selling drugs!!....murders, rapist, drug dealers, pimps have always been around these dogs!!...that statement u made is wayyyyy off!!

When you are into the breed for the love of money, bloodlust or some other kind of sadistic feelings you are a dogman way off...

The government is trying to criminalize pit bull owners/breeders by associating them with drugdealers, murderers, gangbangers etc.
By accepting it always was and always will be this way, you give the government a good argument to outlaw this breed...

Just because they kill, gangbang, sell drugs, pimp doesn't mean they don't care for there dogs!!....these type of ppl grew Up around these dogs all their lives!!...this is nothing new!...u can't just say it's because of these ppl that they are trying to outlaw this breed!!...if u say that then to me u are discriminating!!...I kno gangbangers, I kno drug dealers, I kno pimps and I kno murders wit these dogs and alot of them luv their dogs!!...they will make sure their dog is feed before they are feed!!....so don't give me that bs!!...Ur stereotyping now!!

    Just read what I wrote...
I never used the word love or care in my post...
Only talked about bad reflection to the breed, and wrong intentions to keep them...
The change that your friends are making the news is way bigger then the average/keep low profile citizen.
Thus giving the general public another reason to believe the stereotyping the government wants us all to believe...

This search on google gave more then 3.5 million results "pitbulls drugs"
And I just hate that BS!

  15. Crushbones, I think that my post to you was a little off base. I know what a bunch of unsavory characters some of the great dog men of the day were. I go way back with these hounds since my grand dad was a life long dogman.

What i was referring to was in the early 80's when the youngins decided that they needed a pit by there side. They didn't know jack about the breed and they made a lot of trouble for the people that were involved then. I don't need to go into examples of what, when or why but a lot of heat was brought about because of there actions.

My point is that I don't care what one does for a living. What I care about is the person will and do right by the dogs. Doing right takes on a variety of different meanings but I'll start with keeping this out of the public eye.
