It's an episode from 2010 but it is gonna include the American Pit Bull Terrier amoung other breeds. I'm gonna check it out, if I don't change the channel and forget to watch it. 1:00 est.:o

it can seem like they just snap, especialy if the dog hasn't shown any DA. I tend to agree that you have to keep a watchful eye on them. Animal Planet managed to get a plug in for Pitbulls and Parolees though.

They do not snap, its just the untrained eye and even us as humans (not DOGS) don't pick up on their suddle displays that something is about to happen.
Besides that DA is such a loose, widely used term it really holds no value in what a dog is doing... since people confuse fear aggression, redirecting pent up energy, or etc as "dog aggression"

what do you call it when your dogs grow up together (yrs go by)and one day decide that they don't want to get along any more.

Its called life. Seriously you shouldn't watch that shit, thats all it is and will ever be and fuck pit bulls and parolee's along with the "pit boss". Nothing but a waste of time. They are never really going to put any truth about these dogs on those shows and all they really do is help idiots make the breed look worse,example- some dumbass kid sits and watches animal cops, see's the two dumbass kids cut their pups ears off with scissors, then it happens. Those fucknut's at AP are to blame for the whole fucking "bait dog" bullshit, never happened until they started spewing that shit, next thing you know every dumbass thinking they are doing something is using "bait dogs".

Stop giving those fuckups the ratings that they want, you are just helping them push their agenda!

Haha I watched that the other day. Stupid. I can't think of one true thing said at all. I was sorely disappointed. Don't know why, tho, I should know better than to expect anything factual out of Animal Planet anymore.

I've watched countless episodes of Dogs 101 for my own entertainment over the past few years. Fun to watch sometimes, but I've noticed them giving wrong information about SEVERAL of the breeds on there, not just the APBT. Not to mention a lot of times they will show some of the worst dogs to represent the breed they're discussing. UGH

I wish the media would just stop talking about 'pit bulls' in general, NOTHING good can come of it.

Well until they decide they dont wanna get along anymore there called "Puppies" then once they mature the APBT (damn near all of them) decides he wants to do what he was originally bred for. They dont "snap" there not mentally ill and one more little thing just pushes them to that "snapping" point like most people wanna believe. There just dogs. Most are of sound mind (unless the breeder you got'em from had poor breeding practices).
The problem with society today is everybody wants to treat everything like a human being. A dog is a dog. Now im not saying you cant love your animals or just have them as pets. You can and I do. But Society would have you believe that APBT have a mental problem and that if you watch them closely enough they wont be pitbulls. Thats total bullshit. You cant medicate them for something thats not wrong with them. There not mentally ill there doing what they were bred to do a hundred years ago. Its like saying a Coon hound that trees coons has a mental problem cause he didnt try to do that as a young pup but now does it as a mature dog. Bottom line is the HSUS, ASPCA, humaniacs, and Animal Planet are the ones with mental problems. Not all of the people tha fall under the names listed, but a hell of a lot of them.
