I'd like to share some pics we did recently on a trip in our bikes. Last time Tete teared up my front wheel, he even fanged himself.

I did put new a non-puncture tire and i think the dog thought it looked like the wheel he used to bite LOL so that tire is no Tete aproved, until i get a good muzzle where he can breathe correctly im not running him in bike.

Any issues with the dogs running into the tires, or after something while riding?

Do you have any more pictures of your setup? Is it just a leash tied to your frame?

    Yeah, 14-15 May in Valencia!

The only issue i had is my dog Tete biting the tire LOL, but after couple times running in bike they do fine.

The leash is tied in the frame, i do use a foldable bike because its less risk for the leash to go into the tire but my girl uses a 28' (700) bike without problems.

Here's a video we did 1 year ago:

Awesome video. All of the dogs seem to be very well trained on the bike making it look so easy! Great job! That foldable bike sits LOW, I see what you are talking about.

The past few times Ive tried a bunny or a squirel runs across the street and I nearly get thrown off my bike...Maybe I need to change where I ride, that might help.

    Great video!

Tethering your dog to the bike is a disaster waiting to happen, its best if your leash is held with hand. I am working on some videos roller blading with my dogs and a bike too. I will up load them soon.

Well, i like to tie the dog up in the frame because i have my hands and arms free and if i have to emergency brake, i brake with both hands and its hard to lose balance. But with just 1 hand and the other on the leash i almost broke my teeths and i had to release the leash.

I live in city, so i go thru cats, dogs, people and even rats LOL. You gotta be very vocal with the dog and do not run too fast, i use biking as aerobic workout so i want my dogs to go 7-10km/h max.

Does running on pavement create any problems for your dogs pads?

I gain more control while holding onto the lead myself, I once tied it onto the bike and was in a situation where my girl could have easily dragged the bike and myself to the other dog she was trying to get to. I felt as if I had hardly any control. Maybe because I am so small but I couldn't control both the bike and my dog in full pull power mode. When I do come across other dogs and cats (I live in the city as well) I stop and hold the lead with both hands and I could easily just drop the bike while I manage my dog. Much more efficient for me than to try and keep control of the entire bike while my dog's strength is on full power.

You seem to know what works best under your control though so continue to use what works best for you. Thanks for sharing the photos they are very nice looking dogs :)

I was biking with my 2 dogs and we came upon a little woman walking a little mutt, I was happy I had the lead in my hand that day lol.

bikes and bulldogs are not good . you will end up sooner or later not doing it . dogs cats animals . things just happen and these dogs pull thousands of pounds .

Few weeks ago we ran in a new lane for bikes and the paviment was so new and aggresive they had some problems on pads so we had to return, but usually they are fine, we use some stuff with aloe vera for the pads.

All you need is both brakes fine, you can pick the leash anytime because its in your frame, but the most important imo is to be balanced anytime, so if the dog pulls, you brake and do not lose control.

The girl that runs the black male weights like 45kg and she does fine. I've run up to 3 dogs at time on bike LOL

Great videos man! I wish my dogs were as easy on the bike as yours, excellent job! :)

Same here, it can get quite time consuming :(

I can see the pro's and con's of having the lead in your hand or having the lead tied to the bike...Having the lead tied to the bike would be ideal for me, Id like to have my dogs eventually be trained to where I can verbally tell them not to run after anything with 4 legs (it would make situations like this much much easier)...But, I think it maybe depends on how your dog is when you take them out?...If you have an animal with high prey drive that wants to hit anything that moves, can you train them not to act impulsively on that instinct while on your bike? lol
