I would recommend Feeding higher proteins and fats, with a multivitamin every other day and some calcium supplements every other day.

Calcium supplements SHOULD NOT be used in the pregnant bitch. There are multiple studies showing that pre- whelping use of calcium supplements down regulate the bitches ability to absorb and utilize calcium. This means after she whelps when she most needs to be able to absorb calcium and put it in her milk she can't- it's the number one cause of milk fever in bitches.

DHA should be given to pregnant bitches every day for brain development and a 1/2 of a B complex every other day. Otherwise feed a balanced puppy food.

Never really heard of milk fever before. I know and heard of alot of people giving those pet tabs and pet calcium tabs to pregnant bitches with no side effects though. If you are talking about OVER dosing on calcium then yes I agree as too much of anything is not good for you.

Milk fever is also know as eclampsia in the bitch.

No calcium supplementation beyond a puppy food should be used in the bitch during pregnancy.

I can look up 100's of articles supporting what I am telling you if you really want to make me waste the time...
